The Alpha Of The Shadow Pack And His Mute Luna (by Beatrice Putnam) novel Chapter 23

Chapter 23

Alfreds POV

I knew that they would be visiting to meet the new Luna. But I did not think this early.

Little one, I’m going to go talk to them. I will send Nina in to help you brush your hair. The clothes that you have on are fine enough.

I knew she was worried about meeting the king and queen. They are also my parents, which makes life interesting. I walked out of the bedroom and down the hall. I found Nina in the kitchen.

Nina, please help the new Luna brush her hair and put it in a ponytail.

yes, alpha.

She then went into my room. I then went to my office. Marsha was there giving my parents some coffee. I went and sat behind my desk.

Hey, old man, hey, mom.

Hey, my boy.

I heard that you found your true mate.

Yes, I have.

That’s good.

Well, where is she?

I need to explain a few things to you first.

I explained how I found her and her medical condition. My mother had a sad look in her eyes. My father was angry.

How could anyone be so cruel?

I want the people responsible for this put in jail and sentenced to death.

I explained to them that they were already in jail and their trial was to take place tomorrow evening. My father then said he wanted to be present for all the trials and had

something special planned for them. That was like my father. He did not take kindly to people being cruel. He killed people for that. He was furious. I was just as angry as he was. Then, there was a light knock on the office door. The scent was coming from under the door. I knew it was my beautiful mate. I went and opened the door.

Nina held her up. I carefully picked her up and carried her into the room, sat down on the couch, and placed her on my lap. My mother was shocked to see her condition. Anger flashed in her eyes. My mother hardly got angry, so I knew she was furious. My father jumped up and walked over to her.

It’s nice to meet you, princess.

You look beautiful.

I knew that they would not say anything about her condition in front of her. They were worried that they would upset her, even though I thought she looked beautiful.

Mom and Dad, I want you to meet Vanessa.

They both said in unison, it was nice to meet her. They did not ask questions about where she came from or her family since I filled them in already. Instead, my father suggested that we go to the dining room and get something to eat. I already knew that Mac had dinner ready. I carried her to the dining hall and sat her on my lap to eat. There was food from one end of the table to the other end of the table. Vanessa’s eyes lit up like a

Christmas tree. She then wrote:

I can eat any of these that I want.

Yes, beautiful, any of it you want and how much you want.

I got up while holding her and sat her on my chair. I then got her a plate of food. Little portions were given to her, and then I got my plate. I ensured there were many carbs and fattening food on her plate. When I brought her the plate, she looked at me in shock. I had filled it to overflowing. I sat it down in front of her, and she then tried to stand to allow me to sit back down. But I stopped her. I then pulled up the chair next to her. For dinner, it was my parents and us.

Chris would usually eat with us, but he was busy watching Veronica’s cell to make sure

she did not escape. She was gorgeous and would use her body to get what she wanted. I did not wish to the whore interrupting anything else. She was going to get her

punishment as well tomorrow. Vanessa was enjoying eating dinner somewhere other than our bedroom. She was looking around and enjoying everything else.

Tomorrow, the doctor is going to draw some more blood. He would check her silver levels and see where they were. But I could tell by her wounds that she was healing like she was supposed to. She ate a lot of her dinner, which was a great thing. My parents kept telling stories about my childhood. She would laugh, but she would also look sad. Her childhood was not nearly as sweet or loving as mine. Hers was a nightmare, which made me sad for her. It also broke my heart for her.

Then Stacey came in. She was running late as usual. My father noticed her late arrival.

It’s nice that you finally decided to join us.

Sorry, father, I had to get ready.

Stacey, you know we don’t care to be formal when visiting.

We both knew that. Tomorrow was the day that they expected us to be formal. Because tomorrow there was going to be a trial and executions. Stacey was required to attend them even if she found them boring. Veronica’s best friends were going to be there. I hoped they were going to be her friends after she was whipped. We had dessert and then had some coffee. I offered Vanessa some coffee, but she turned it down after tasting it before I put sugar and cream in it. I finally got her to try it again after I put some sugar and cream in it.

She took a small drink and smiled, but she preferred the juice that had been served with dinner. We sat in the dining room enjoying my parentscompany before we said good night. I carried Vanessa back to our bedroom. I then went into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

Do you want to join me?

She nodded her head yes. I was shocked our last shower experience did not go so well. I wanted to do more for her than I did. I need her to learn to trust me with her body. She was learning that she would not be hurt while in my care. I made sure the water was not too hot. I felt it was not as hot as usual because her skin was still sensitive to heat. I then carried her into the bathroom. I helped her take her shirt off and her pants off.

We then get into the shower. I slowly let her legs down so she could get her footing. Her skin feels so soft to the touch. I got in front of her, turned my back to the water, and had her lean against me. The water is running over my head and onto her shoulders. Down the front of her over her breasts and down between her legs. I have my arms around her waist.
