Chapter 36
Vanessa POV
After breakfast, we went to the justice hall. When we walked in, there were guards everywhere. I was then put behind a curtain. A box with bars all around it was in the center of the room. That is where the accused was placed while they were sentenced. While I was behind the curtain, there were four people with me. I knew them all. They were Alfred’s most trusted people. I listened closely to the trials that were going on. Then, my father and mother were brought in. I then heard Alfred begin to tell him the charges.
Former Alpha Maurice, you have been stripped of your alpha rank and sentenced to a long, torturous death.”
”
If that bitch of a daughter had the decency to die after I whipped her, we would not be here.”
I heard two thunderous growls. It shook the whole building.
“You will not speak of my mate that way.”
“At least she died and is no longer around.”
11
That is where you are wrong. She is very much alive and stronger than ever.”
“Vanessa, will you come out here, please.”
Stacey opened the curtain. I hesitated to go out. Chris grabbed my hand, and Karen grabbed the other hand. They held my hands while Alfred got out of his chair and approached me.
“Little one, what’s wrong.”
‘I’m terrified.”
I know, baby. But I’m right here.”
He picked me up and carried me out from behind the curtain. My father looked at me in shock.
How could you be alive?”
”
Thomas was supposed to kill you.”
“As you see, father, he failed.”
Again, he was shocked.
You can talk.”
Yes, she can.”
Vanessa, please tell us a little about what he has done to you.”
I then began to tell everyone how he had beaten me since I was five and the countless sexual acts that he made me perform. The sexual abuse started when I was five as well. I wasn’t even telling everything when every male in the building was jumping on him and beating him. I quickly shut up and clung to Alfred. Looking up, I could see him smiling from ear to ear.
”
You are safe, baby girl.”
He then yelled.
“ENOUGH.”
Everyone stopped beating him. Alfred then explained that he had been poisoning him like he had poisoned me by putting silver flakes in his food. I had no idea that he had been placing silver in my food. That would explain why it would take me forever to heal. Silver prevents us from healing.
“Maurice, you are no longer my father, and whatever punishment you get and have to deal with will never be enough.”
Then Alfred’s father spoke up.
”
Alfred, what punishment have you decided for him.”
Father, he will be tortured every day like he did Vanessa. In a constant beating, he will
also be forced to perform oral sex on males and also be sodomized, just like he forced Vanessa to endure. This will go on until he dies.”
“If that is what you deem fit.”
“It is father.”
What about her mother?”
“She is sentenced to the same punishment as she has been poisoned as well.”
“Bring her in.”
Then, my mother was brought in. She was upset that I was still alive. I said the same thing about her. She allowed and watched what happened to me. Then, all the females in the room started to beat her. She then was sentenced to the same punishment. Then
”
Thomas was brought in. I turned my head and buried my head in Alfred’s chest.
For your crime of attempting to kill my Luna, you and I will fight to the dearth.”
He then turned towards me.
“Baby girl, do you want to watch, or would you like to return to the house?”
“Alfred, I know it’s not my place to question your judgment, but he has done more to me than try and kill me.”
“I know little one.”
“I will stay.”
Mother, please hold Vanessa’s hand for me.”
Alfred pulled everyone aside and talked with them. Then, they surrounded me.
* Forgive me, Luna, but Alfred wants us to keep you safe.”
There was nothing to forgive. They are doing what they are told. They were told to keep me safe. The queen held me. They got things ready for mortal combat. I knew Thomas had no chance of survival. But it was still scary to watch. My mother and father had been escorted out of the building. Alfred started to fight Thomas. I knew Thomas would not
fight fairly. But that was the way of things. They had shifted to their wolves and now were locked in a deadly fight. Then, it was like something came over me. I shifted, standing right in the middle of everyone.
Everyone looked at me. Leon rushed to me. I could hear Alfred in my head.
Little one, what are you doing.”
“It’s not me.”
Then I was back into human and naked in front of everyone.
Leon, kill him. Your mother is going to tend to your mate.”
His mother rushed over to me and covered me with a blanket.
Shh, my sweet girl.”
“It’s only natural that your wolf wanted to help her mate.”
“Why can’t I move.”
” that is because this is your first shift.”
”
Chris, pick up the Luna and follow me.”
I was back at the house and in the bedroom.
“Now leave us.”
She quickly went into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
Sweetheart, we need to get you in here and cool off.”
“Our wolf wanted to protect her mate.”
My body felt like it was on fire. Now I understand why they would have a pool filled with water when the first shift happened. Your body felt like it was on fire. I was told that if you didn’t get your body cooled off, it could kill you. She picked me up and put me in the shower. She held me in the water and stayed in the tub with me. The doctor came rushing
“Is she cooling down?”
“Not fast enough.”
“If we don’t get her cooled, then she is going to die.”
I started to feel like I was getting weaker. Then, my vision started to go black. The next time I came around, I was in a bath full of cold water with ice. Alfred was in the tub with
That is my girl.”
I started to panic.
Baby, it’s OK. Nobody is going to hurt you.”
I started to relax, and then I felt lightheaded.
“Baby, what you are feeling is normal.”
Then everything went black again. The next time I woke up, I was in bed wrapped in blankets, and Alfred held me.
How much torture must this girl endure
