The Alpha Of The Shadow Pack And His Mute Luna (by Beatrice Putnam) novel Chapter 41

Chapter 41

Alfreds POV

After getting the clean and warm towels, I went into the room and saw my mate in a towel and my mother in my room. She had been looking for me. But I was busy. When I entered the room, Vanessa stood in the bathroom doorway, covered in a towel. She looked beautiful. My mother was holding her mating dress in her hands. What was she doing with that? She then explained to Vanessa that she wanted her to wear her dress for the mating ceremony. The queen of werewolves was requesting that she wear it. She accepted the honor. But I did not think it was right. She needed to keep that dress for herself. I will speak to my father about it.

It was a very noble gesture. I was utterly shocked by it. No other queen has ever done that. They have always had their dresses made. I want that for Vanessa. She deserves everything that all the princesses have had. Since she is now a princess of the werewolves, I will speak to my mother and father about this. We went to bed, and I pulled her close to me. Being very close to me always helps relieve stress. I wanted to make love to her, but I was not going to push that issue just yet. But I don’t know how much longer I could wait until I made love to her again.

I woke up a little before her. As I predicted, my parents were in the dining hall drinking coffee.

Mother and Father, we need to discuss the dress thing.

There is no need.

I have already spoken to your father, and we agree that Vanessa and Stacey need to have their dresses made.

Thank you.

I then turned around and went back to the bedroom. She was still asleep. When she woke up, she went to the bathroom and did her business. She wrapped a robe around her. She had a pajama shirt and pants on. It was perfect for what she had to do today. We walked into the dining hall. Her mouth dropped open when she saw how much food was on the table. When we sat down to eat, she saw the bacon. When I learned she had never been allowed things like what was on the table, I was furious again at her parents. What did

they eat? They probably just fed her bread and water.

The more I learned about how she grew up, the more I became furious. How could you treat your daughter like that? I will go take my anger out on him later. But right now, I want her to enjoy her breakfast and what will come. I have a special date for her this evening. I’m going to have a starlight picnic with her. I have set up a blanket and a special chef for us. While eating, I have a spare room with every brand and everything a woman would need for clothes and shoes. Plus jewelry, I have already picked out a special ring for her.

I did not need to ring her, but I wanted to. The mating ceremony will take place a week from today, and we will start training tomorrow. I already had a locker set up for her, and she has several clothing options available. Now that she is gaining weight, we need to tone her muscles. She is getting stronger every day. We have to be careful about getting her pregnant. Her body would not tolerate it, but that is for another time.

After we had done eating, I escorted her to the spare room. Everything was set up. Jaques, one of the best dressmakers and fashion designers, was there. He was funny, but he got the job done. Stacey got fitted first, and then it was Vanessa’s turn. Vanessa was uncomfortable having him measure her, so I did it. I gave him her measurements, and then, while she got dressed, I played with her a little bit. If she had not stopped me, would have made love to her while he was on the other side of the curtain. Then Stacey brought us lunch. She finished with Jaques and then went to the room to prepare for our date.

I then went to the kitchen to talk to Mac.

Is everything ready for my date tonight?

Yes, alpha, they are.

* I will cook the meat while you and the luna enjoy what other activities you have planned.

Thanks, Mac.

Yep.

I

I then went to check and see if she was ready or not. I knew that our room was ready and things were brought there. She was in a towel when I entered the room, trying to clean

things up. It was only an hour to dinner. I scolded Stacey for delaying getting her ready. Then I left the room to get prepared in another room. I planned on wearing a suit and tie. I had a limo that I had rented, especially for that night. I was going to make tonight special for her. She has been through so much and deserves to be treated like a princess

for the rest of her life.

I was going to start doing that tonight. I had finished getting ready and was waiting at

the front door for her. Then she walked out of our room and down the hall. My breath

caught in my throat. She looked stunning. Stacey had done her hair. The blue summer dress she had on was gorgeous. She had on plain blue high heels. She looked amazing. I could not take my eyes off her. She was a princess. I held the door for her to get in the limo.

I then got into the limo with her. I scooted over to her and pulled her close.

11

You look amazing, little one.

I hope you like our date tonight.

Where are we going?

I thought we would have a picnic under the stars.

She almost jumped up. I don’t think she has ever been outside at night to enjoy it. When we got to where the waterfall was, I sent the limo back to the house. Mac was there, but he was busy cooking. The blanket had a picnic basket. There were pillows so she would be comfortable when we lay down to watch the stars. Also, there was a hot spring close by. I took the liberty of having a swimsuit brought over for her. Then, I also had the bath house ready with roses and things for her when we returned. I was determined to make this a night she would remember forever.

Mac signaled that the food was ready. We sat down on the blanket and ate. We then lay on the blanket and watched the stars.

Little one, there is a hot spring close by. Would you like to change and have a dip?
