Chapter 34
Chapter 34
-Five Years Later-
Tristian
Attending this party is very important. Strengthening alliances, sizing up the competition, and getting news from the Royal pack… everything is important to have. I remember coming to this event with my father many times.
Every five years, packs from all over come and mingle together. Many wolves find their mates and it’s a joyful time for everyone. We also gain information about what’s happening with the other packs. Are rogues attacking? Are hunters on the move? Who wouldn’t want to enjoy this time? Apparently, Dahlia Summers is one of these idiots.
“I can’t believe we have to go to this party with all the work we have already,” Dahlia mutters and sighs softly. “Who cares about the other packs? We have alliances but so what?” She plays with her blonde hair and scowls. “Hey! Are you even listening to me?”
I look out the window as I tune Dahlia out. I’m so tired of hearing her whine and complain. I’ve acted as the best Alpha and mate that I can be but it’s all fake. I’m still being tormented at night which just makes me feel even worse. It’s all because of Daisy too… everything going wrong in my life is her fault.
“Hello?! Anyone home in there?!” Dahlia’s voice gets shrill and makes my ears ring. I snap my eyes over to her and glare which she returns easily. “God, you’re so annoying! You don’t even pretend to listen to me anymore! No wonder everyone is looking down on us!”
I let out a snarl. “No, they’re doing that because neither of us will turn into our wolf forms. Instead of traveling with the pack, we go everywhere by car.” I look her in the eye while Dahlia stiffens. “Of course, we both know why that’s the case don’t we?” I then look out the window again. “Maybe if you’d have a pup, things would get better for us but you’re incompetent aren’t you?”
Dahlia lets out a whimper and falls silent. A part of me feels a pang of guilt but right now I don’t care. Reminding her of our loss is all I have against her and I use it as I wish. So what? She’s become nothing more than a little bitch anyway. She hasn’t even had another heat cycle since that orphaned mutt Samuel rejected her. How pathetic can someone be?
With that the rest of the drive is silent. Dahlia’s eyes lose any fire they had in them and that dead look reminds me of how her sister used to look.
The useless and abused Omega… the lowest of the low with dim eyes. She knew her place and yet at some points, those purple eyes lit with a defiance hotter than fire. I always saw her as a nuisance. Who knew that she’d end up being my mate?
I scoff at the memory. I had been blind sure but what else was I supposed to believe? Who knew her wolf was so strong after all? I look over to Dahlia who is staring at her lap. She knew Naomi back in childhood and yet kept it all to herself. She blamed Daisy’s weakness for her disappearance but is that true?
I shake my head and look outside. There’s no point in living in the past. When I see Daisy again… I smirk at the thought. She’s mine. It doesn’t matter if she accepted my rejection, she’s my mate and I’ll make sure she belongs to me completely.
I close my eyes and sigh as I picture it. Her beautiful pale body underneath me and withering under my touch. I’ll make sure she forgets all about the mutt she’s screwing around with so she can only see me. Her moans and gasps will be just as sweet too. The idea of it makes my pants feel tight.
“You should fix that before you go into the party.” I’m jolted out of my daydream by Dahlia. When I open my eyes, I see that we’re at the joint pack house. “You’re such an ass so I’m not helping. Figure it out.” With that, Dahlia gets out of the car and walks away leaving me in the car with a boner.
I scowl and grit my teeth. “Fuck…” I mutter and get myself fixed up. “When I find you Daisy… I’ll make sure you always do this,” I smirk a bit. “I’ll keep you both… how exciting…” I purr. Dahlia is stuck as my chosen mate anyway but having both
sisters? What a rush!

Chapter 34
Soon enough I get out of the car and look around. Based on the many scents, my pack is already here along with Dark Sky and Royal pack. A few more needed to get here still including the elusive Crimson Moon pack. They agreed to come after so long so everyone was curious to see their new leadership, me included. Perhaps they can be a nice asset to Moonlight via an
alliance.
I walk inside and look around. “Hey there, Grayson. I assume Rina is going to visit family?” I stop next to my Gamma. After meeting his mate, he changed a lot, but then love can do that to someone. They were an amazing pair and Rina was even expecting their first pup now.
“That’s right! She wanted to see her mother and let her feel the pup. He’s kicking now!” Grayson’s eyes glow with pride. “He’s going to be a nice addition for sure.” He flashes a big grin at me. “Never thought I’d be so excited for this but I think I’ve grown up a lot. What do you think?”
Seeing Grayson like this does make me feel jealous but I can’t bring myself to hate how he feels. When Dahlia was pregnant, I felt all the same things too but after we lost the pup? Seeing my stillborn daughter like that? I just snapped at that moment.
“I agree. It’s a nice look for you. To think a sex-crazy party boy is now a grown man.” I pay his shoulder and smirk. “I’m happy for you man.” With that, I leave him as Rina comes over with her mother behind him. Let them have their fun!
I approach Hunter, Dark Sky’s Alpha. “How’s it going with you all? Prey running well?” I look around and hum. “What do you think Crimson Moon is like now?” We’ve both always been wary of this pack since they always hang in the shadows.
