The Alpha's Unwanted Omega Mate novel Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Daisy

“Hello, Tristian,” I say in a dismissive tone making his hazel eyes flash. They always did when I disrespected him in the past. “It’s laughable to think you can say I’m your mate when you were the one who rejected me first.”

Tristian growls under his breath. “That was a mistake that I regret every day. Had I met your wolf beforehand I…” This makes me laugh. How pathetic can someone be? And in front of his chosen mate too! He has no morals at this point.

“A mistake?!” Dahlia chimes in her voice rather shrill. Aiden winces and rubs his ear. “Had you met Naomi before?! What the hell are you talking about?! You chose me before her!” She stomps her foot and I’m reminded of how she used to do that as a child.

Spoiled Dahlia always getting her way. She’d stomp her foot and point at me using that same shrill tone. In the end, she’d be beaming proudly while I’d be holding my cheek from a harsh slap. Everything had to be her way. Reality isn’t like our childhood though so her being immature isn’t cute anymore.

“Shut up already, Dahlia!” Tristian snaps and turns on her to glare. “Before you were my chosen mate, she was always meant to be mine. I was merely too blind to see how amazing she was. What good are you? You couldn’t even have a live pup like you were supposed to!”

His cold tone sends chills down my spine. I hate Dahlia with everything I have. I want nothing more than to see her suffer like I did. But even that was just too much. What sort of man would blame his mate for that?

Aiden’s fists tremble by his side and I look at him to see his eyes cold as ice. After everything he went through in the past, I know he’d never blame Rosie for what happened to their pup either. He loves them both even to this day which makes him a better man than Tristian could ever be.

Dahlia stares at Tristian with hurt in her eyes. She looks more like a broken shell of her former self tears wetting her eyes. However, it only lasts a moment. When she locks eyes with mine, they harden and become arrogant once more. That’s the Dahlia Summers I know well.

“Well, that’s too bad. You see, I want nothing to do with you, the Summers, or Moonlight pack.” I shrug. “I have a home where I truly belong. Where I’m respected and loved. Where I’m not seen as beneath everyone. Like I’m a punching bag and stress ball to everyone.” I look Tristian in the eye without flinching. “What can you offer me that I don’t already have?”

Tristian falters and unease comes to his face. All eyes are on us so he clears his throat. “Daisy, why don’t we go somewhere where we can talk privately? I think it would be best so we can catch up.” He’s trying to get a handle on this situation.

“No, I don’t think so.” I shake my head making Tristian stiffen. “I’d much rather stay here where I know you won’t try anything. Besides…” I take Aiden’s hand. “I’d rather spend time with my mate than to talk to you. You’re not even worth my time honestly.” I click my tongue and smile at Aiden.

As I give Aiden a peck on his cheek, Tristian snarls his eyes flashing darkly. Is that Silas trying to resurface? How funny! He steps forward and looks ready to punch Aiden but I step in front of him Naomi wanting to take control.

I meet his eyes without backing down. Tristian’s eyes then soften. “Baby, please.” I want to throw up when he calls me that. He places a hand on my arm which makes my skin crawl. “I made a mistake and I’m sorry so please… I want you back…“

Before I can even think, I’m throwing Tristian over my shoulder and onto the ground. He lets out a startled gasp and looks dazed while I stand over him. I wonder how this must look for everyone watching. This must be a spectacle that they can’t take their eyes off of.

“Don’t touch me!” I growl lowly. “You’re disgusting! You make me sick! Baby?” I laugh so hard my stomach starts to hurt. “I feel like throwing up! You are just trash, aren’t you?”

Tristian snaps out of it and snarls in anger. “I’m your real mate!” He snaps and jumps onto his feet. “Our bond is stronger than whatever you think you feel for this prick here! That’s how chosen mates work! Don’t lie to me and say you don’t want

me!”

He reaches out to grab me again but I slap his arm away. So that’s what he thinks huh? I smirk. “Aiden isn’t my chosen mate.” Tristian frowns and I laugh at how slow he is. “He’s my true mate. People may call it my second chance mate.”

Tristian pales at the news and I hear everyone whisper in surprise. “Y-you must be lying!” He stammers. “You’ve always been a little liar! Who would believe that?” He sounds so pathetic now.

Aiden clears his throat. “As I am her second chance, she is mine.” He speaks out. His voice is gruff and cold. “Daisy means everything to me. She is no longer the broken wolf you and your pack made her into. She will never be returning to you. You ruined your chance already.”

Tristian grits his teeth while the crowd around us starts to talk. Everyone knows about Rosie after all. He doesn’t want to believe it. It’s written all over his face too. “I won’t give up…” he growls under his breath. He looks completely humiliated! It’s an amazing look on him.
