This night couldn’t get any worse than it already is. Why is Daisy here? Why isn’t that bitch dead already?! Not only that but she’s the Luna of the mysterious Crimson Moon pack. The true wolves of the night? How? She’s nothing more than a weak slut!

It must all come from Naomi! But she already turned her back on me so I can’t trust her either! What hurts the most is that Tristian is trying to suck up to her. Tristian snarls in anger. “I’m your real mate!” He snaps and jumps onto his feet. “Our bond is stronger than whatever you think you feel for this prick here! That’s how chosen mates work! Don’t lie to me and say you don’t want me!”

“Aiden isn’t my chosen mate, Daisy announces and smirks. “He’s my true mate. People may call it my second chance mate.”

Wait what? I’m just as startled as everyone around me. “Y-you must be lying? Tristan stammers pathetically. “You’ve always been a little liar! Who would believe that?”

Just then, Crimson Moon’s Alpha, Aiden clears his throat. The moment he walked into the room, my eyes were drawn to him. How can someone be so sexy and powerful? His red hair and blue eyes contrast with his dark complexion well. Everything about him was perfect which is why I was so sure this was all fake.

I’m proven wrong right away as Aiden says, “As I am her second chance, she is mine. Daisy means everything to me. She is no longer the broken wolf you and your pack made her into. She will never be returning to you. You ruined your chance already”

So it’s true. I feel so small and pathetic now. I look down and shake as I hear Tristian say, “I won’t give up…” Why? Could this possibly be any worse? Of course, it can.

Daisy speaks with the Alpha King for a moment and then looks out into the crowd. “I have exciting news and I can’t wait any longer 1 just found out a few days ago but I’m expecting twin pups!”

Her words are like a shot in the chest. I let out a gasp and cover my mouth. My mind barely registers anything around me as I watch the two Aiden twirls Daisy around in the air and they laugh so happily. I can’t breathe. I can’t think. All I can do is glare at them

That should be me 1 should be happily expecting a set of pups. Why am I being punished for taking what I deserve?! I feel torne burning in my eyes so I spin around and take off. I need fresh air.

Once I’m outside. 1 pant but still feel like I’m choking. Tears start to stream down my face and all I can do is remember that night. Why did I lose my prop? Why did that happen to me? I did everything right! I grit my teeth and whimper under my breath

that dirty slut just won’t leave me alone!

I start to picture her face as I punch a tree over and over again. I want to tear her apart. I want her dead! She’s done nothing but cause me and my family problems! Now she’s leading Tristian astray? I won’t let that happen!

I hear stumbling footsteps behind me and look back feeling hopeful. “Trist…” but my hopes shatter as quickly as they come. Instead, I see that orphaned mutt who rejected me: Samuel.

I grit my teeth as I recognize the scent of Crimson Moon on him. He did find Daisy but is still just following her like a lost puppy. How pathetic! I storm over to him wiping my face. Finally! Someone I can take these feelings out on!

“Well if it isn’t the little mutt?” I stop next to him while he’s leaning forward against a tree shaking. Is he crying over Daisy? Ha! “What’s wrong? Sad over that bitch you’re always sniffing after? Serves you right!” I smirk as I watch him but when he looks at me, I pause.

Samuel looks very off right now. His face is flush and he’s panting heavily. He doesn’t even look like he’s in his right mind. Is he drunk? He sort of reminds me of someone going through a heat but how can that be? I reach out and touch his arm feeling worried for once. He feels like he’s on fire! “Hey… are you…?”

Samuel grimaces and jerks his arm away. “D-don’t touch me.” He breaths out and stares down at me. “Leave me alone… don’t follow me!” He then stumbles away leaving me alone and in a daze.
