The Alpha's Unwanted Omega Mate novel Chapter 38

Chapter 38

Chapter 38

Aiden

I have a range of emotions going through me right now. From joy to panic to worry… then back to joy again, everything I’m feeling overwhelms me. I’m overjoyed by the fact I’m having not only one pup but twins! I could howl loudly at the moon I’m so excited! I’m also worried though.

Losing Rosie in that way made me so nervous around Daisy during her first pregnancy, I didn’t want to lose my second chance the same way I lost my first. Everything turned out well in the end. No complications and no reason to worry in the future. I even love Skylar as my pup all because he’s Daisy’s.

I’m also panicked too. It doesn’t make any sense logically but I fear deep down that I’ll be a terrible father to my blood, Daisy will talk me down later but for now, it’s all that I can think of. Is this something all expected parents go through? How many fears will run through my mind before they’re born? What about after?

1 set Daisy down and hold her close. “You have no idea how happy I am,” I murmured in her ear making her giggle. “I want them both to look just like you. Beautiful little silver-haired pups I can hold so close.”

Daisy pouts and pokes my nose. “Aww, but I want at least one to be a little you. I love your red hair.” She winks before giving me a soft kiss. “I love you, Aiden.” She places a hand on my cheek and looks at me with those stunning purple eyes.

As I look back into them, I feel myself getting lost. There are no words I could say that would describe how much I adore this woman. How anyone could have treated her so poorly is beyond me. Speaking of which… out of the corner of my eye, I see Tristian seething and glaring at us.

What right does he have to approach my mate after everything he’s done to her? The way he spoke to her made me want to beat him to a bloody pulp but I held back. Daisy needed to tell him off so that he could understand but it looked like he wasn’t going to give up any time soon.

“This is wonderful news for everyone,” Xander speaks up and steps forward. “I’m sure you two will have powerful pups, especially with the mark Luna Daisy has.” He holds Anna’s hand and smiles. “You were blessed and always destined to be a Luna. It may seem overwhelming but with your loving mate by your side, I’m sure you can do anything.”

Murmurs echo around us as they realize Anna and Daisy share the same crescent moon mark on their upper shoulders. I see Tristian tense and then growl lowly. I bet he’s regretting what he’s done even more now. Tough luck, bastard!

“I am more than willing to help you understand what everything means,” Anna tells Daisy. “I was lost when I was younger only being born into a Gamma household and bearing this mark. It’s not common enough to have much in terms of literature.”

Daisy tilts her head and smiles. “That sounds lovely. I’ve only heard about it from Aiden and our Beta, Peter but only that you have it and it’s rare and special.” She shrugs. “Naomi just says it means we’re special… that’s my wolf if you’re confused.” She flashes a sheepish grin.

Anna nods. “Opal said the same thing to me. I think our wolves understand it better than we do even if they’re hopeless when trying to explain it.” She laughs a bit and I let the two of them speak with each other. Daisy rarely gets to speak with another female wolf besides Zoey and having one of the same rank as her who’s kind unlike her so-called twin will do her some good.

Xander stands beside me and smiles. “You’re lucky to have a wonderful mate like her… of course, she’s lucky to have you as well.” He says and pats my shoulder. “I’m relieved to see you so happy, Aiden. I was worried about you for a while.”

I smile sadly. “I know you were. I’ll never not love Rosie. She will always be in the back of my mind as well… but I’m happy with Daisy too.” I close my eyes. “She’s a wonderful wolf and person too. A natural leader too when she’s not second-guessing herself.” I chuckle and open my eyes again. “I feel alive again… like I can do anything. I will too… especially when it comes to protecting my happiness.”

Xander listens to me and nods. “I feel the same way when it comes to Anna. Just don’t be too overprotective! Strong Lunas

are always feisty and independent when they want to be of course.” He winks and grins playfully.

It must be an inside joke between the two of them but I understand what he means. Daisy never likes me to treat her like she’s a child or a damsel in distress. She’s come far from what she used to be and doesn’t want me to hold her back now.

“It seems someone’s regretting the decisions he’s made.” Xander comments and I follow his gaze over to Tristian. He tenses since he can hear what the Alpha King is saying. “Arrogant ones always get that way… spoiled ones only get it worse and then expect everything to be swept under the rug and forgiven. How sad.”

I smirk happy that Xander is on my side but that’s to be expected. He hates when wolves mistreat their mates due to their ranks. He gladly expected Anna which everyone opposed at the time. “Some call it due to age but then why weren’t we that way then?” I wonder out loud.

Tristian growls and steps forward taking the bait. “Just you wait! This is over…” Just then I sense someone rushing into the house. We all turn our attention to the door and I let out a gasp.

Little Ebony stands there panting with cuts on her hands and face. Her face is pale and her eyes wild. “H-help!” She gasps out and falls to her knees. I rush over while some woman surrounds her worrying her the little pup.
