I can’t believe she already has a child on top of being pregnant again! I snarl to myself but shake it off. Perhaps if I find the mutt myself, then Daisy will look my way and be grateful. However, when I suggested it, Daisy only looked at me as if I had two heads and I was nasty.

“You don’t have to do that. We have plenty of wolves out there especially with Royal pack backing us. Save your energy… I don’t want your help specifically.” With that, she walked away leaving me staring at her back.

I was livid but I did get a good look at her swaying hips and slender frame. Where had she been hiding that back when she was in my pack? I did catch a glimpse of it during that party years ago but she was so much hotter now.

Her long silver hair that glowed in the moonlight, her vibrant purple eyes that reflected the stars, her hourglass figure with her plump breasts… everything about her was just so delicious. She even has muscle now showing that she is a strong warrior as well as a reliable Luna. She was meant to be mine… and yet she’s not now.

All because of fucking Aiden Rivers. He stole her from me and marked her as his own. And it all pisses me off. If he wasn’t in the picture, I could have gotten Daisy back already! Yet, here I am being turned on so that she can fall into his arms. The arrogant look in his ice-blue eyes makes me want to punch him in the face.

It’s already been three days since the mutt was taken too and nothing to show from it. Maybe if Daisy had accepted my help, this could have all been over! She would be thankful to me and see me in new light too but of course, she won’t give me a chance at all.

As I watch the search parties come back, I click my tongue and turn to face my pack. “We will be returning to our territory now! Say your goodbyes and let’s get going.” I run my hand through my hair and sigh.

Something else that’s annoying me is Dahlia. After running out the first night, I haven’t seen her since and her mind link is blocked off too. She’s always doing this too and reminds me of a two-year-old throwing fits. I’m sure she thinks of her real mate all the time too.

Speaking of which, I find Samuel looking down and haunted by something. He left to find Daisy because he had a crush on her and all that came of it was him joining Crimson Moon. I want to confront him about it but something seems off about him too.

His eyes are glazed over and he doesn’t seem to want to be bothered or touched. I watch as Daisy walks over and speaks to him but he only shakes his head and flinches away from her touch. I frown and carefully approach wanting to hear their

conversation.

“Samuel, please… tell me what’s going on. I know I haven’t been able to speak with you much about what’s going on with Skylar but I can see you’re struggling.” Daisy murmurs gently. “Maybe I can help you.”

Samuel lets out a faint laugh and shakes his head. “No… you wouldn’t understand what I’m going through… not that all. How could you? You’ve never gone through an identity crisis like this…” he holds himself and frowns. “Please, Day… just leave me alone. Focus on keeping Sky home.”

Samuel walks past her and bumps into me. He stumbles back and glares at me. “Fuck off…” he mutters and brushes past me. I growl faintly at him but catch something off-putting about his scent. Why does he…?

I turn and start to follow him but then a loud growl makes me stop in my tracks. I turn and see Crimson Moon’s Beta glaring at me. “Did you not hear him? Fuck off. Don’t approach him. Understood…?” His voice is low and dangerous.

I step back and frown deeply. What’s his problem? I watch him shadow Samuel and shake his head. I must be mistaken. That scent only comes from females anyway. I walk back to my pack and am surprised to see my chosen mate in the crowd.

Dahlia is all smiles and seems rather cheerful. She spots me and beams. “There you are!” She comes over to me and hugs me tight. I tense and frown at her actions as we haven’t been close in a long time. “I can’t wait to get home and away from this

place! Aren’t you excited?” Her blue eyes sparkle. “I have a surprise waiting for us when you’re ready.”

1 frown as I watch her. Why is she acting like this? It reminds me of how she was before she lost our pup when she was so happy and a diva but in a good way. “I see… sure. I can’t wait to put this all behind me”. I shrug not knowing how to deal with

Dahlia giggles and pats my check. “Same here. Everything is going back to the way it was before! You’ll see… everything is how it should be.” She adds and hums as she walks off to see if everyone is ready.

Feeling rather weirded out, I turn to see Grayson standing right next to me. The look on his face says it all as he seems weirded out too. “What’s going into her?” He wonders. “Maybe she’s happy that her sister is hurting… I have no idea.”
