Samuel
My days in Crimson Moon have been great honestly. I have plenty of friends and can stay by Daisy’s side. My crush has long faded and I see her as she sees me: a sibling figure. She’s a wonderful big sister and of course an even better Luna. I’ll always love her in a way but not in a romantic sense. I’ll need to save that for when I pick someone to be my chosen mate.
Victor let out a small snort in my head which makes me frown. Any time I think of choosing a mate he gets so huffy with me. “What is it this time?” I ask as I change into some nice dress clothes. I hate the traditional suit look so I go with a pair of black jeans and a nice button–up shirt,
‘There’s no need to think about it. That’s all. We have a second chance mate out there.‘ Victor says with so much certainty like always. I raise an eyebrow as I wonder if he knows more than he’s letting on but I shrug it off.
“Well, one day I might find a pretty she–wolf I like. Maybe you’ll like her too.” I say cheerfully and brush out my hair. Victor growls in my head but falls silent. Such an attitude but I wouldn’t change him for anything.
After finishing up, I walk out of the room and run right into a hard chest. I step back and look up with a scowl. “Can you not always do that?” I’m face to face with Peter, Crimson Moon’s Beta. Victor perks up in my mind but other than that says nothing.
His amber eyes flash as he watches me. “I apologize. I just like keeping an eye on you.” He’s wonderful but also rather protective at times. Perhaps too overprotective but I assume it’s because I look like Rosie, the former Luna. Still weird to know that I was her long–lost brother.
“Well all I’m doing is getting dressed, man.” I pat his shoulder and flash a friendly grin. “Nothing special. You look nice tonight.” He is wearing something comfortable but also handsome. It shows off his strong figure and rippling muscles.
“As do you, Samuel,” Peter says and tilts his head as he looks me over. I chuckle as sometimes I feel like he’s checking me out but how can that be? That’s just weird after all. “Almost too good. Makes me want to mess up your hair to fix it.”
I laugh and shake my head. “No, you don’t!” I step back making Peter smirk at me playful. That look has to make the she–wolves melt like putty in his hands. I grin and decide to tease him. “I guess you’re looking to impress the ladies huh? Who knows! Maybe you’ll find your mate.”
Instead of getting a snort or laugh, Peter’s eyes darken losing that friendly and playful light and he lets out a faint growl. This catches me off guard and I pull my hand away. “Why do you always…” He mutters under his breath and grits his teeth
“Dude… what’s your deal?” Why does he look so frustrated? I step back as he clenches his fists and his eyes flash red making me feel uneasy. Why is he upset enough to make his wolf surface? “What did I say wrong? I was merely teasing…”
“… It’s nothing… he’s just protecting you still.” Peter finally mutters and turns away. “I’m going on ahead.” Without letting me respond, he walks away leaving me dazed and confused. He’s been getting more and more short with me recently, Aren’t we supposed to be friends? What’s his problem?
Peter always says that Victor is protecting me from something but from what? “Are you ever going to tell me?” I ask him then growl when he ignores me. “Whatever…” I sigh and make my way outside pushing those thoughts away. If it was so important then Victor would have told me by now.
When I get outside, Peter is nowhere to be found but I see Daisy with Aiden instead. She’s breathtaking tonight… she’s gone all out too. I know it’s to show off her new life to Moonlight Pack but I do wish she’d pamper herself more often.
Aiden catches my eye and cocks his head to the side observing me. Once upon a time, he would have thought I coveted Daisy but now he knew that wasn’t my aim. He nods to me as ! approach. “Greetings, Samuel.”
Daisy turns and smiles at me. “Sammy!” She walks over to me and hugs me as I groan over that childish nickname. She never changes which makes me happy. “You look so handsome tonight! I’m glad you’re coming too.” A grin forms on her face. “I can’t wait to see everyone react to my presence. You get to watch everything too! Too bad Freda won’t be there to watch the show.”
I nod in agreement. “She would have loved to see that b*st rd regret so hard. For now, though I can’t wait to see you shine!” I hope that Dahlia shatters even more seeing the twin sister she always bullied and belittled so loved and powerful. Daisy is wearing a sleeveless dress just to show off the crescent moon on her shoulder, the sign of a true and powerful Luna.
