Chapter 70
Keith
Crack! I grit my teeth together hard. I refuse to scream out loud. I refuse to give her the satisfaction of knowing that I’m in pain. I know that’s what she wants to hear… especially that demonic sister of mine.
Crack! I hold back tears too. Why give them anything at all? No matter how much it hurts, I won’t break down. I’m no longer that weak child I was before!
Crack! The searing pain makes my vision turn white with every strike. It feels like a new whip too with multiple ends to cause the maximum amount of pain and damage. My back feels so wet too… a bath is going to s*ck for sure.
Crack! She growls in annoyance at my lack of reaction. This is no longer fun for her I’m sure. “Cry, d’mn it! Beg for forgiveness! What the hell is wrong with you?!” She snarls.
Crack! I refuse to make a sound. I hear her throw the whip to the ground and her footsteps walking over to me. I meet her blue eyes with defiance and don’t say a word. This unnerves her and I know what’s coming next as she raises her right hand.
Smack! My head turns to the side from the force of her slap. I taste blood from inside of my mouth but I merely meet her eyes again. The stinging pain means nothing to me nor does the wetness on my cheek. She must have used her nails. “You b*st*rd.” She glares at me and clenches her fists. There’s more to come.
Smack! “You show no remorse!” Smack! “You don’t even know what you’ve done wrong!” Smack! “You heartless brat!” Smack! “Beg for forgiveness! Smack! “Beg for mercy! Show me you acknowledge your wrongdoing!” My cheeks burning, all I do is stare at her.
Punch! I let out a faint gasp as all the air is knocked out of me. As I gasp for breath, my weakened body tries to tremble. No! I won’t break now!
Punch! Again I’m punched in the gut. It takes everything I have not to cry out. I brace myself for another strike but it never comes. I hear the click of her heels and see that she’s stepped back.
“You monster..” She whispers and looks at me with disgust. “Not only do you feel no remorse but you won’t even cry or show pain.” She laughs oddly and shakes her head. “You’re a freak… just like that plain reject… how could you ever be my son?”
I merely stare while breathing heavily. My whole body aches and I do want to cry but I don’t. I’ll do that later when I have time to hide away. Still… this all happened due to a lie my evil little sister told me to stop from getting in trouble.
~Hours Before~
The only time I feel free and happy is when I’m training with Gamma Grayson. Out of everyone in the pack, his family are the only ones who don’t seem as charmed by Gracie’s presence. If anything, they’re most charmed by their newborn son, Ethan. I do agree he’s way cuter than Gracie ever was but ! also hate her.
“You’re getting amazing at sparring.” Grayson praises me and smiles. “You’re going to be an awesome Alpha one day. I can’t wait for Ethan to stand by your side in my position too.” I heard he used to be a bad party boy but he changed so much after finding his mate.
Something stirs in my heart when I think of mates. Why does Ebony come to mind? I’m not supposed to know until I’m eighteen but why do I feel so sure? I know better than to ask about it since Ebony is just a girl in my dreams. She can’t possibly be real!
“Thank you very much!” I say happily. “Lenjoy learning from you! It’s way better than…” I stop myself from telling the truth. Father never teaches me anything as he’s just in a hurry to go back and cater to Gracie’s needs. He’s much different than he was before she was born like he’s better her spell. So
gross.
Grayson chuckles. “It’s an honor to train you, Keith.” He ruffles my hair. “Now one more time. Try and tackle me down to the ground.” He flashes a grin. “Come on, little boy. Don’t be a coward.”
I let out a growl at his words. Grayson is way too big for that but he does ‘play dead‘ when I have great technique and lets me win. I can’t wait to beat him far and square! With that, I circle him before jumping at him.

Chapter 70
Grayson’s lips form into a smirk. He thinks he knows my next, going for his gut, and moves accordingly. However, I just give him a fake out and go after his right leg. I can tell this catches him off guard and he even stumbles but is quick to catch on.
I never expect to win these sparring matches. I merely wish to have fun with someone who seems to care about me. In the end, though Grayson comes out on top which I don’t mind at all. Learning is all I care about.
“Great work! You did many moves I didn’t expect even going after a weak point I wasn’t guarding.” Grayson offers me a hand and helps me up. “Keep at it and you’ll be able to beat me one day.”
“That’s my goal!” I grin happily and dust myself off. Once I beat Grayson, I know I’ll be ready to take my father down! “I can’t wait to get even better!” Grayson has a proud look on his face that warms my heart.
