The Alpha's Unwanted Omega Mate novel Chapter 69

Samuel

Going out for an early morning jog is how I’ve started every day for the past two years. Losing any baby fat was my top priority once Olivia cleared me. While I’m happy with myself and my body, I’d rather not have everyone about it. It’s none of their business what I am physically. I don’t want to be looked down on for it either.

The only thought that makes me laugh is what Dahlia would have done if she found out. Picturing the shock and horror on her face just makes it all better for me. Of course, because I rejected her immediately, that never happened but still, it’s so funny to me.

I do have one joy though: my daughter, Rosalina. Her birth was more painful than anything I ever experienced. Even worse than learning what Peter did to me or even the rejection. Victor only grew weaker after losing himbut then grew stronger when Rose was born.

All the pain was worth it in the end. The moment I held her, I was in love. It’s like you just gave birth to a copy of yourself!Hazel had squealed when she met her. Rose has my freckles and my carrottop hair. Even my olivegreen eyes shine through! At the time I didn’t see any Peter which I was grateful for.

Now? As Rose grows up, I can see little pieces of Peter in the way she smiles or the way she talks. Minor things that no one else can see but me. Peter was my best friend for many years before all this went down. I know so much about him and it hurts to look back. I lost not only my second chance mate but also one of my best friends.

But it hurts thinking about Peter for too long. I shake my head as I slow to a stop in front of my home. As I catch my breath, I push thoughts of him away. Nothing can change what happened. All there’s left to do is move forward and live.

Daddy!A small squeal alone warms my hug as I feel little hands grab onto me. As I look down, little Rose is beaming up at me her eyes sparkling happily. Mommy’s making waffles! Come on, Daddy! She tugs at my hand and I chuckle.

Really? Sounds yummy! I know how much you love them.I tease as she leads me inside. She looks ready for her day already as she’s wearing her favorite Tshirt that’s covered in cartoon wolves and a cute and sparkly tutu with matching leggings on. The only thing that isn’t perfectly in place is her hair which I comb every day. It’s just our thing especially since I know how to care for our wild orange hair.

Yeah! So yummy!Rose giggles and leads me into the kitchen. Mommy! Daddy’s back! She cheers happily. Rose loves Hazel so much and I do have to say she’s a wonderful mother to her. I’m lucky to have her as a friend and my chosen mate.

Hazel turns to face us and smiles warmly. Every year she becomes more beautiful. Her blue eyes shimmer like sapphires and her hair is wavy and silky. I would know as I also brush and style her hair for her. What are friends for, right?

That he is! Why don’t you let him get cleaned up so we can all eat together?Hazel asks and pats the top of his head. Your Daddy is all sweaty and gross after all.Though as she says this, she’s eyeing me up as if I look good.

I tilt my head curiously. Hazel does this more often nowadays. Maybe I should ask her about it? I’m brought out of my thoughts as Rose giggles. Ok! Daddy go clean up!She tells me firmly and puffs out her cheek.

A perfect little angelic pup.Victor barks in my head and I couldn’t agree more. Of course! I’ll be right back so our food stays warm.I tell her and ruffle her hair before walking upstairs.

Don’t be long, Daddy!Rose calls after me and I crack a big smile. I can feel Victor wagging his tail in my head. He’s such a pup when it comes to Rose and it’s so adorable.

I jump into the shower just to do a quick wash up and sigh as the cool water hits my skin. Being able to cool down after a productive jog through the woods is always amazing. When I get out of the shower, I wrap a towel around my waist and walk to my room.

I only do this when I know the girls are downstairs. Otherwise, it would be rude to walk around with only a towel onthough the last time Hazel saw me this way, her face turned beet red. I apologized afterwards but she only said that it was good eye candy before hiding her face.

As I look in the mirror, I’m proud of myself før gaining muscle and even my abs back. However, I don’t find myself overly attractive. I’m not super hot like

a real muscular man. As one flashes in my mind, I shudder and shake my head. No more of that. Time to get dressed!

I throw on a plain Tshirt and some parts before brushing through my hair. I let it stay wild nowadays because Hazel told me she liked it that way. If I can
