The lovely sight of my mate slaving away at the store graces my gaze as I walk downstairs this morning. Daisy is listening to music so she hums and sways her hips back and forth to the tune while flipping pancakes and frying bacon. While the smell of the food is very pleasant, her frame is more mouthwatering right now.
As if feeling my gaze, Daisy turns her head and spots me. She takes out one earbud and smiles. “Good morning, love. You look ravenous!” She giggles softly and motions for me to sit at the bar. “Of course, with that look, it’s for more than just the food I’m making.” She winks playfully.
I let out a growl and sit down. “Don’t tempt me, Daisy… As she laughs, I can’t help but smile. She’s been going through waves of deep depression these past few years but at least today she looks happy.
Daisy shakes her head. “You just need to get your mind out of the gutter. You got your fill last night so just calm down, boy… I wouldn’t want to cut you off for a while now would I?” I whine at her words and she giggles. “Don’t give me those puppy dog eyes either! That look only works when the twins use it.”
The twins… a smile forms on my face. Our twins are growing so much now that it’s crazy! Being that they are our children, they’ve matured much quicker than normal children. The Alpha King Hunter told me that this is because Daisy is a true Luna which makes pups even more unique and strong. Skylar
was the same way too.
Lily is the boss between the two loud and bossy while Davin is calm and quiet. Compléte opposites but inseparable. Lily never lets anyone bulty Davin while Davin is the only wolf who can calm Lily’s fiery temper. They are the best pups could ever ask for.
Skylar would have adored them too. I hate that there hasn’t been any sign of him anywhere. No sign of Skylar anywhere though not even a hint of his scent! Even after visiting nearby packs many times, no such luck. We did lose Moonlight Pack’s help but then they were never useful anyway. The last
time I went there, everyone was gushing over little Gracie.
“What are you thinking about so intently?” Daisy brings me out of my thoughts. “Didn’t you hear me? Call the twins down so that I can see how they want their omelet.” She gives me an amused look. “Stop daydreaming and get busy, mister! Unless you plan on eating everything yet again.”
I let out a low chuckle. “Of course not… but the threat may bring them down sooner.” I clear my throat. “Lily! Davin! It’s time for breakfast!” I call up to my children. “Wash up and come downstairs before everything gets cold! Or before I eat it all!”
With that, I hear a whirlwind of frantic and small footsteps from upstairs. Daisy and I exchange looks of amusement and we wait on the twins. I can hear
them bickering and arguing already.
“Ow! Don’t step on my foot, Davin!”
“Sorry, Lily! But we have to worry or Papa will eat everything again!”
“Right?! So hurry up and don’t lag behind!”
“You’re the one who takes forever and makes me wait! You know that right? Lily? Sis?!”
“Come on, slowpoke! Race you downstairs!”
“Lily, wait! Don’t leave me behind!”
With that, the two twins rush downstairs panting and still bickering with one another. Seeing their hair all messy makes me chuckle softly. Both of them are just so adorable.
“You didn’t eat everything right?!” Lily demands her blue eyes wide. “You better not! Mama!” She hurries her to her side with little Davin close behind her. I only ever did it one time while half asleep but will never live that down. At least it gets them going in the morning!
Daisy smiles down at the two. “Good morning to you too.” She teases. “Nope! Papa hasn’t eaten everything… well at least yet.” She pats the top of their heads. “But I want to know what you two want in your omelet so please tell me.”
Lily beams happily, “Oh! Yay! I want sausage and cheese! Maybe some sweet onions too! Oh! And lots of ketchup!” She says with a squeal. “I love

Chapter 68
Mama’s omelets! Don’t you, Davin?”
Davin hesitates and shifts as his ears turn pink. He is rather shy and hates all the attention to be on him. “U–uh… c–can I have just… some scrambled eggs please?” He stammers out. “I–it’ll be easier… on Mama…” he adds quietly and looks down.
Daisy smiles down at him. “it’s not hard on me at all to make you two breakfast. But if that’s what you want, then I’ll make it for me.” She murmurs gently. “Are you sure? You normally like your omelet just like how Lily has hers.”
Davin bites his lip and shoots a look at Lily. Her look of reassurance gives him courage as he swallows hard. “T–then I’ll have it like Lily’s… e–extra cheese please.” Even as he stammers, his light purple eyes shine brightly. I hope that one day he can find confidence in himself.
