Chapter 87
Tristian
In my crazed state, all I know is that I’m running. Silas is taking the lead as we run through the woods onto territories we aren’t welcome. I know where we’re going too. Silas is rushing towards our true mate. I can’t wait to see her again, to prove myself to her, and to gain her forgiveness.
It wasn’t my fault… I didn’t know what I was doing. Dahlia even admitted to me what she did. “I put something in your drink so that we could have so much fun!” She said in that shrill tone. “I had no idea you’d jump into bed with that mutt because of it!”
It was her doing. The lapse in my memory… it wasn’t my fault! I keep running my mind racing. How can I tell her? Will it sound like an excuse? No… first i need to give her my information. What Dahlia and that b*st rd of hers is planning…, and the horrors I witnessed. I should have known what Dahlia was like yet I was blind.
Then my nose is filled with her scent. I slide to a halt and drink it in. Why did I ever think her scent was revolting? I must have been lying to myself!! follow her scent and spot her standing there frozen and glaring at me.
Her bright purple eyes look cold in the sunlight but her silver–white hair looks like the purest ivory. My longing for her grows. “Daisy…” I breathe out her name with joy. “Finally… I can talk to you alone finally!” I approach her wanting nothing more than to hold her in my arms.
“Don’t you dare come any closer to me, Tristian Parker!” Daisy’s snarl and clenched fists bring me out of the moment. I stop dead in my tracks while Silas whimpers in my mind. She truly hates me.
Daisy’s eyes are narrowed into slits as she speaks. “Xander will have your head for coming onto his territory. Trespassing onto Royal Pack’s territory? You must’ve gone mad!” She smirks coldly. “Then again… you do expect me to be excited to see you so why am I not surprised?”
I can’t help but flinch and take a step back. Just her presence reminds me of the former Luna, my mother when she was p*ss’d off and ready to fight. She’s ready to rip me into pieces. “Daisy, please… I–I want to make things right! 1–I have information that can help you!” Right! Get back on track, Tristian!
Daisy laughs at my pitiful stammering. “I don’t want any help from an abusive rapist like you. Get out of here and get prepared, b*st rd. I’m going to make sure you suffer tenfold after what you’ve done to Skylar.”
I pale and start to shake. No! That wasn’t my fault! I step forward. “Daisy… I didn’t know it was you that night… I… I woke up next to Dahlia,… I didn’t know what I did…” How can I explain it to her?! She’s not having any of it either! She must see this as nothing more than pathetic excuses!
“Take one more step and I’ll rip you apart.” Daisy snarls and glares at me. “Go back home and just wait. You’ll see tomorrow when the war begins.”
No! Panic runs through me and I rush forward. “That’s what I need to tell you! There’s something you all need to know! That b*st*rd… he’s got something planned that will change everything!” I grab her arm trying to get her to understand. “I–I don’t want to lose you, Daisy! Please listen to me, l..”
Fear flashes in those purple eyes and Daisy tries to get away. “Let me go, you b*st*rd!” I freeze. I don’t want to scare her! Before I can let go, Silas pushes me aside at that moment.
‘Naomi, listen to me!‘ Silas orders and tries to get his mate to bend to his will. No! I try to push him away but I can’t get through to him. All I see is Daisy’s fear and rage. I know then she’s screaming for her Alpha.
Suddenly I’m thrown back and fall back against a tree. I gasp out while Silas yelps and I feel a powerful presence. “Get your hands off my mate!” As I look up, her Alpha is standing in front of her with cold eyes. Aiden Rivers… no this is his wolf.
I wheeze and use the tree to gain my footing. “Please… just listen to me… If you don’t… you’ll…” Then I see him behind them and a rush of anger goes through me.
Xander… the Alpha King is standing there with a blank yet cold stare. “And what are you trying to tell Luna Daisy?” In a simple question. “What is so important that you had to trespass onto my territory?”
calm tone, he asks me a
This is bad! I tremble and lower my head in a rush. “I–It’s important……. can’t let her get away from this. I won’t… I won’t let her…” Why can’t! speak?!
“Oh? Then why were you trying to bend her to your will?” I flinch as Aiden’s wolf growls. I can’t deny that. “How dare you manhandle my mate! You need to learn to control yourself and your wolf… but then what should I expect from a wolf with no honor?”

Chapter 87
I don’t get a chance to explain myself when Xander steps forward. “I’ll give you a chance to explain yourself.” He silences Daisy and her Alpha. “Speak Stop stammering like an idiot.”
I just look pathetic to them, I swallow hard and start. “Dahlia has gotten allies to fight this war with her. Multiple rogue groups… all under the command of one powerful wolf.” Daisy scoffs but I only continue. “His name is Trent. I’m sure you’ve heard of him… I…”
Daisy gasps out loud while Xander interrupts. “Are you telling me the truth?” I nod while he steps forward. “Why did you come here? This could give you an edge in the war that’s headed your way. What’s your angle?”
I look down and clench my fists. My angle…? Why is that what he’s worried about? “I want them to fall.” I breathe out. “Dahlia… her so–called ‘mate‘ and her brat of a child… I want nothing to do with them.” I look up. “Nothing can change what I’ve done in the past… but I want a chance to redeem myself.”
Daisy let out a cold laugh. “Redeem yourself? What a joke!” Xander shoots her a stern look but she can’t stop herself. “You made your bed so face the consequences already! This is no longer just a Moonlight Pack issue anymore!”
“You think I don’t know that!” I finally snap and grit my teeth. “You think I’m not aware of my failures? I know I’m a sorry excuse of an Alpha! I failed my parents and led their pack into the ground! I won’t run from the consequences!” I let out a weak sigh. “I just… don’t want you to die because of my failures… if I can save you and the pack you love… our pup… your other pups too… then maybe I can…”
As I falter, Xander clears his throat. “Without the drama, explain what’s going on. How did Dahlia set this up on her own? Is this all Magnus‘ doing?” He narrows his eyes. “I need to know everything. If he’s behind this… then this isn’t going to be a simple battle as planned. Wolves could die on both sides.”
I swallow hard. I know I won’t get another chance. “I overheard everything. Dahlia greeted a rogue named Trent with Magnus by her side. They’re going to team up for this war with their army that he claims is just as big if not bigger than yours. However…”
As I trail off, Xander growls and mutters under his breath. Anything mentioned about the demon named Magnus seems to be a sore spot for him. “What is it? I assume Trent wants payment for joining the war.”
