The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 498

Rebecca’s eyes narrowed at the news.

What was Garcia up to now?

Why would she pull Aiden’s hair?

Wait a minute—how did Garcia even find out about the four kids?

Could it be that Garcia already knew who Rebecca really was?

Rebecca couldn’t figure out Garcia’s motives, but she knew she had to stay on guard.

She turned to Berton and instructed him, “Berton, keep a close eye out for the next few days. Don’t let Garcia anywhere near Sunset Villa Estates. Double up on security and make sure the kids are safe—don’t give Garcia any opportunity to hurt them.”

Berton nodded. “Understood.”

Afterward, Rebecca went to check on the kids. Seeing all four of them safe and sound, she finally felt relieved.

She pulled out the four carefully prepared gifts she’d brought with her.

As soon as the kids caught sight of the presents, their eyes lit up with excitement.

Ethan was the first to exclaim, “Whoa, it’s my favorite snack pack!”

Noah tore open his own package, his eyes sparkling with surprise. “I got a smart watch!”

Though each box was wrapped identically, Rebecca had chosen a different gift for each child.

Aiden, the little explorer, received a microscope set.

Evan, who loved music, found a ukulele waiting for him.

Each child got exactly what they’d wanted, and their happiness filled the room as they crowded around Rebecca, peppering her with hugs and kisses.

The four kids nodded, perfectly well-behaved. “Don’t worry, Mommy! We’ll be good.”

Rebecca pressed kisses to their foreheads before heading out the door.

When she arrived at the bar, Isabella was already waiting outside, looking chic and put-together, with flawless makeup and a smile that said she was ready for fun.

“Rebecca, finally!” Isabella pulled her into a big hug.

Inside, the music pounded and colored lights flickered across the crowded room. Isabella steered Rebecca straight to the bar and ordered two cocktails.

Rebecca raised an eyebrow. “And here I thought your heart belonged only to William.”

Isabella snickered. “Of course my heart belongs to William—but hey, it doesn’t hurt to enjoy the view, right?”
