Fitch Russell didn't care; he took off after them, but he was too late. The car had already driven away.
Dejected, Fitch walked back, his disappointment plain on his face.
He looked at Dylan Austin. 'By the way, Dylan, do you know what the relationship is between Raina and Samuel Thomson?'
At that, Dylan looked over. 'What relationship?'
Fitch frowned. 'That's what I'm asking you. I've tried to get it out of Samuel multiple times, but he's as tight-lipped as they come. That guy is ridiculously secretive. It's so annoying!'
Thomas Brown raised an eyebrow. 'If you ask me, there's definitely something more to their relationship.'
'But Dylan, your secretary is quite something, getting so close with the Thomson family.'
Dylan frowned, remaining silent.
Fitch asked, 'What do you mean by that?'
Thomas chuckled. 'I mean, you'd better make a move soon, or Raina will be snatched up by one of the Thomson brothers.'
Fitch scoffed. 'Don't worry, I won't lose to any of the Thomson brothers.'
Thomas smirked, clearly unconvinced.
He then turned to Dylan and asked, 'I hear Jonas Frost is coming back?'
Dylan grunted in affirmation. 'The business expansion in Veridia is mostly complete,' he said flatly. 'Plus, the old man's 70th birthday is coming up, so we're planning to have him come back for that.'
Fitch immediately frowned, annoyed. 'Don't let him come back.'
Thomas raised an eyebrow. 'Why not?'
Fitch pouted. 'I don't need another rival. After the Veridia expansion is done, isn't there Africa? Just let him stay abroad for another year or two. Keep him from getting any ideas about Raina.'
Dylan looked at Fitch, his gaze deep. 'I think that's an excellent suggestion. I'll discuss it with Mr. Russell Sr. sometime. It's about time the Russell family expanded its business into Africa.'
