Rebecca frowned. "No female employees allowed?"
She had never heard of such a strange rule.
What was wrong with Dylan?
In her opinion, work communication and collaboration shouldn't be limited by gender. Such a rule was not only unreasonable but could also hinder efficiency.
Rebecca was completely speechless. "If he doesn't want female employees in front of him, why doesn't he just fire all the women in the secretarial department and replace them with men?"
Director Porter shrugged helplessly. "I don't know what's gotten into the CEO either, but since he gave the order, I have to follow it. It'll just make work a bit more complicated from now on. We'll need some time for the handover."
Rebecca sighed. "Alright then."
She even suspected that this rule was specifically aimed at her. After all, besides her, no other female employees went to his office.
Did Dylan not want to see her?
Did she do something wrong? Or had something happened that she didn't know about?
The more she thought about it, the more confused she became.
Whatever. She was already on edge today and really didn't have the energy to figure out why Dylan was suddenly acting so erratic.
She didn't see Dylan for the next two days. Once, they passed each other in the hallway, but he was cold and distant, not even sparing her a glance. He even quickened his pace, as if she were invisible.
Rebecca was utterly baffled. She had no idea what was wrong with Dylan; it was like he had become a different person.
During meetings, he was impossibly strict.
While he had always been demanding in meetings, he had usually been calm and rational. But now, a cold chill permeated the entire conference room.
The slightest thing that didn't meet his approval would earn a harsh reprimand.
