When Rebecca learned that Garcia had paid the hitman thirty million, she couldn't help but find it amusing.
She curled her lip. "Tell her I've raised my offer to ninety million."
Garcia had offered thirty million right off the bat. Rebecca wondered if she could keep up.
But to save her own worthless life, she probably would.
Garcia would probably lose her mind when she realized she was being played.
Berton immediately passed on the instructions.
Just then, Rebecca received another call from Gordon.
Rebecca was annoyed but answered anyway. "What do you want from me?"
She wanted to know what this Gordon was really after.
On the other end, Gordon chuckled before stating his demands. "Daughter, I heard you've made it big. You're driving luxury cars, living in a mansion, being kept by a rich man. I'm your biological father, right? So how about this? You get me a fancy car and transfer me two million. Consider it a little something to show your respect."
Listening to his greedy, shameless words, Rebecca frowned slightly.
She said slowly, "I think you're mistaken. I'm not your daughter."
But Gordon was insistent. "You are my daughter! Your last name is Zade, just like me. You're Rebecca Zade!"
Rebecca replied, "Katherine told you all this, didn't she? Let me tell you the truth. While I'm not a Foster, I'm not your daughter either."
Gordon shot back, "Impossible, you are my daughter! I mixed up the babies back then. I took the Foster's baby, and you were taken to the Foster family. You're my flesh and blood."
Rebecca frowned. "Gordon, there were three pregnant women at that clinic back then. Besides Jane and your wife, there was another woman. That woman was my biological mother."
