The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 106

Ella’s eyes sparkled in the darkness under the covers. She couldn’t help but laugh, her voice soft and warm.

David’s voice was low and rough. “What’s so funny?”

Ella looked up at him, a teasing smile on her lips. “Should I say I’m tired, or not tired?”

The way they flirted back and forth was addictive, their chemistry impossible to ignore.

David laughed too, then leaned in to kiss her again.

The next morning, at the Irvine family’s house.

In the bedroom, Rachel lay in Peter’s arms, completely satisfied. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a playful pout. “You were a little rough with me just now.”

Peter grinned and pinched her chin, his eyes full of mischief. “Are you satisfied now?”

“You’re awful,” she said with a giggle.

Jessa had called Peter home, and he wasted no time. He’d come straight back and made sure Rachel didn’t feel lonely anymore.

Peter hugged her tightly. “Did Mike really take Ella away?”

Rachel nodded, a sly smile on her face. “Yes, that annoying obstacle is finally out of our lives. Jessa’s about to become Mrs. Harmon. Baby, you’re going to be the father-in-law of the richest man in Rockford Bay.”

Peter laughed, his mood sky-high. “Rachel, you did amazing this time.”

Rachel felt completely at ease. Ella must be Mike’s toy by now. No one would ever get in the way of her happiness again.

She glanced at Peter, who looked so pleased, and thought to herself that he would never know who Ella’s real parents were.

Rachel and Peter left the bedroom and found Jessa in the living room.

Jessa sat on the sofa, staring at her phone, her face full of worry.

“Jessa, what’s wrong?” Rachel asked.

“Mom, I can’t reach David. He hasn’t answered my calls since last night. He’s never ignored me before.”
