The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 122

Mr. Lynch stood at the front of the classroom while Ella sat calmly at her desk. Technically, he should have been the one in control, but Ella sat up straight, her eyes bright and steady as she watched him. Somehow, her quiet confidence filled the whole room, leaving Mr. Lynch feeling oddly at a disadvantage.

“Y-yeah, right,” he stammered, catching himself. What was he even saying? Besides his respected mentor, Doctor E, no one ever called him by his first name, let alone with such casual ease. This stand-in bride was definitely something else.

He tried to muster up his authority. “You—”

Ella cut him off before he could finish. She nodded, looking almost bored. “You can start the lesson now.”

Mr. Lynch froze. Wait, who was the teacher here? Who was the student? Was she really ordering him around? However, with her gaze fixed on him, he couldn’t help himself. He turned, walked straight to the whiteboard, picked up a marker pen, and started teaching as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

He thought, why am I listening to her? He didn’t want to, but somehow he couldn’t help it.

As he began the lecture, Ella still looked half asleep. Clearly, her earlier nap hadn’t done the trick. She rested her head on her arms and fell back asleep without a care in the world. She slept through the entire class.

When class ended, Mr. Lynch glanced at her, still sound asleep at her desk. He wanted to wake her up and give her a serious talk, but honestly, he hesitated. Maybe he was even a little scared of her. So, he just walked out.

Not long after, Sarah arrived outside the classroom with two girls trailing behind her. Sarah was a student at Central College too, majoring in dance. Her biggest dream was to someday become a lead ballerina, just like her idol, Jessa. She was beautiful, with long legs and curves that made her the envy of the school. The guys called her the campus queen, and she loved the attention.

When Sarah heard that Ella was coming to Central College, she was furious. What was David thinking, bringing that country bumpkin in? In Sarah’s eyes, Ella was dragging down the whole school’s reputation just by being there.

Standing by the window, Sarah spotted Ella still asleep at her desk. The girls with her giggled.

“Sarah, did you hear? That Ella girl just sleeps through class. Is this real?”
