The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 204

David yanked open the back door and pulled Mr. Johnson out by his shirt.

Mr. Johnson was shaking, barely able to speak. “Mr. Harmon, I don’t know what I did to make you so angry. Please…”

David didn’t let him finish. He punched him hard.

Mr. Johnson crashed into the side of the car. David’s muscles flexed under his crisp suit as he drove his fists into Mr. Johnson over and over, each blow landing with ruthless force. Blood covered Mr. Johnson’s face. He was too stunned and battered to even beg for mercy.

“Which hand did you use to touch her? Was it this one?”

There was a sharp crack as David broke Mr. Johnson’s right hand.

Mr. Johnson fell to the ground, barely conscious, gasping for breath.

Aiden arrived with a group of men. “Sir,” he called.

David’s expression was stone cold, his features sharp and controlled. His voice was icy. “Clean this up.”

Aiden nodded. “Yes, sir.”

David left Mr. Johnson on the ground and walked back to the car. He glanced inside at Ella. “Come on. I’ll take you back to campus.”

Without waiting for a response, he got into his Rolls-Royce.

Ella was still reeling. She never expected David to show up, let alone handle Mr. Johnson so harshly. The way he fought was raw and fierce. It scared her.

Hadn’t he just been making fun of her? Why would he go out of his way to save her?

Monica was rubbing her forehead where a nasty bump was forming. Ella helped her out of the car, stealing a glance at Mr. Johnson, who was now sprawled on the pavement. The area was cordoned off, David’s men already managing the scene.

He didn’t respond.

Ella took Monica’s arm. “Let’s go.”

“Yeah.”

They headed back toward the dorm.

Inside the car, David watched as Ella walked away, her figure getting smaller in the distance. A hint of a smile played at his lips, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes.

Back in the dorm, Lilly had just come back from class. She was stunned as she listened to what had happened.

“Thank goodness Mr. Harmon showed up when he did,” Lilly said, her relief obvious. “If Mr. Johnson had taken you to a hotel, something horrible could have happened.”
