The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 237

The second Ella stepped onto the stage, the whole bar exploded with excitement.

Music kicked in, and she moved with it, every beat shaping the way her body twisted and spun. She sprang up, wrapping herself around the pole with effortless grace, her movements smooth and hypnotic. Every spin, every leap, seemed impossibly fluid. Her body bent and flowed, drawing out wild cheers from all around.

In the VIP booth, one of the rich guys grabbed Cedric’s arm. “When did you get a girl like this? Seriously, keeping secrets from us?”

Cedric just stared at the stage, a little dazed. A girl like her could be the star of any club, the kind of dancer everyone remembers. But he didn’t recognize her at all. Who was this girl?

David, sitting nearby with a beer in hand, suddenly froze. He couldn’t look away from the girl on stage, his eyes fixed on her like nothing else existed.

Ella could feel David watching. She smiled, slow and teasing, then stretched into a perfect split in midair, landing it as if it was nothing.

The crowd went wild.

Someone next to David muttered, “Damn, she’s flexible.”

“She could pull off a split like that... Whoever dates her is in for a treat.”

“Who do you think a girl like that would end up with?”

“I mean, Jessa’s supposed to be the top ballerina, but even she can’t move like this girl.”

All around, the men were talking about her, and David’s handsome face grew darker, like a storm was brewing.

The dance ended. Ella struck her final pose. Instantly, the room filled with applause, thunderous and unending.

Every head in the place turned, following her with hungry eyes. David watched her too, his attention never wavering as she moved, finally stopping right in front of him.

Ella smiled at him. “Mr. Harmon, I pick you.”

She chose David.

Monica, sitting next to David, went pale. She’d planned to use this night to get closer to him, maybe even steal his attention. Now, this mysterious dancer had swooped in and stolen the spotlight, and then, right in front of Monica, picked David. Monica didn’t recognize Ella, but inside, she was fuming, calling her every name she could think of.

The manager laughed, voice ringing out. “Our star has picked Mr. Harmon! No surprise there, the ladies can’t resist him. Now, let’s give it up for the hottest dance of the night!”

Music blasted through the speakers again. Neon lights flashed across the bar. David sat back on the sofa, looking cold and untouchable, his eyes locked on Ella as she approached him, the whole world narrowing down to just the two of them.
