The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 240

David never held back. His moves were sharp, efficient, and honestly a little scary.

The bodyguards in black hesitated, shaken by just how intense he was.

The two spoiled heirs snapped out of their daze and started yelling, “What are you waiting for? Get him!”

“Yes, sir.”

The bodyguards rushed forward.

Ella stepped out of the changing room and instantly saw chaos breaking loose. David was in the middle of a full-on brawl, taking on at least ten men by himself. One bodyguard went flying and crashed into the bar, bottles shattering everywhere.

People screamed and scattered. “Fight! There’s a fight!”

Ella was stunned. She’d just gone to change, and somehow David had managed to get into another fight.

Lately, it felt like this kept happening.

She hurried straight to David’s side. “David!”

David floored another bodyguard and glanced over at her. Ella’s big, bright eyes were filled with shock. “You’re in trouble again?”

David just stared at her, speechless. Did she really not realize who actually started all this?

He grabbed her slender arm and pulled her into a quiet, safe corner. His eyes were icy, filled with a dangerous kind of energy. “Stay here. Don’t move.”

Then he went right back into the fight.

Cedric heard the uproar and came running. When he saw David surrounded, he cursed under his breath and quickly shouted, “They want to mess with David in my place? Lock the doors! Time to teach them a lesson!”

Cedric grabbed a broken bottle and jumped in.

The whole place was a mess, but soon the bar’s security team arrived and took down the two heirs and their bodyguards.

Cedric didn’t hold back. He slapped both heirs across the face. “Dumbass! You think you can go after David?”

The two heirs sobered up fast. Suddenly, they recognized David.

If he’d just been willing to talk, she wouldn’t have had to go to such lengths.

Ella’s lips curled into a teasing smile. “I danced for you, Mr. Harmon. Didn’t you like it?”

David froze.

Ella leaned in, her eyes bright and playful as she looked up at his handsome face. “You get lost in Monica’s arms and I can barely get a word with you. Since you are so easily distracted by pretty faces, I had to get creative to catch your attention.”

Did she just call him… lustful?

Only she would dare.

David pinched her soft cheek and let out a low laugh. “You really think you’re that pretty? If I was really that into girls, do you think I’d choose you?”

He let go of her and stood up, clearly done with the conversation.

Ella bit her lip. He was right, after all. David had seen every kind of beauty—Jessa, Monica, and so many others. If he really chased after women, his life would be packed with them.
