David didn’t say another word. He just turned and walked away.

Hayden glanced at her belly. “That baby is just another one of your pawns. You’re not fit to be a mom. If you really care about it, you should go to the hospital and end the pregnancy yourself.”

With that, he left without looking back.

With tears streaming down her cheeks, Monica scrambled up and ran off. “Just leave me alone!”

Lilly and Fiona watched, speechless. “Ella, was that really Monica? What happened to her?”

Ella watched Monica’s retreating figure, just as confused. Something huge must have happened.
