The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 268

Ella’s body started to slide toward the floor, but his arm wrapped around her waist, steady and warm. His kiss was so hot she thought she might melt right into him.

David’s fingers moved to the buttons on her blouse. His voice was low and rough. “Do you have any condoms here?”

She shook her head, cheeks burning. No.

“I’ll have my assistant bring some.” He reached for his phone.

Ella caught his hand in a panic. Maybe this was just a normal thing for him, but the thought of facing his assistant after this made her want to hide forever.

“Don’t…”

David kissed her neck, his breath warm against her skin. “Don’t what?”

His short hair brushed her chin, prickling her in a way that was both sharp and ticklish. She tangled her fingers in his hair, trying to push him away. “David, please, no.”

Her mind was spinning. She hadn’t meant for any of this to happen again. Today had already been a mess.

He kissed her again, voice rough. “Let go, Ella. Be with me.”

Ella. He called her by her name, just like that night. Her name sounded different coming from him.

Her face burned. The hands that had tried to push him away lost their strength. They slipped to his shoulders, then wrapped around his neck as she pulled him closer.

David’s hand reached for his phone again.

“Don’t. I’m… I’m in my safe days. I can’t get pregnant right now…” Her voice was barely there, soft and shaky.

David smiled and kissed her deeply.

Late at night, footsteps echoed through the dorm hallway. The girls next door were coming back from their dates.

“Did you guys hear something just now?”

“Hear what?”

“I thought I heard a bed creaking.”

“You’re imagining things. Come on, let’s go inside.”

Ella felt like a tiny boat in a storm, tossed around by waves, helpless and completely at his mercy.

In the middle of it all, she heard him whisper, rough and quiet, “Me too.”

Me too? What did that even mean?

Ella barely had time to wonder. He didn’t explain.

The Irvine family’s villa.

Jessa sat on the living room couch, gripping her phone, calling David again and again.

It was late. She’d told him to come see her tonight.

She was sure he would. In the past, she just had to call and he would show up, no questions asked.

Ella didn’t stand a chance against her.
