The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 310

Jessa looked up and there was Ella at last. The smile on Jessa’s face grew even brighter. This was exactly who she had been waiting for.

Ella walked over and stood beside Lilly. Lilly’s anger was obvious as she spoke, her voice trembling, “Ella, these people are just twisting the truth. They’re shameless.”

“I know, Lilly.” Ella shot her a calming look, as if to say, take it easy.

Jessa jumped in, grinning. “Ella, you got here just in time. Your bestie Lilly says Lucas is into her. Can you believe that? People should know their limits. Be honest, do you think Lilly is ugly?”

She was trying to put Ella on the spot.

Ella lifted her brows, her gaze steady and clear as she looked at Jessa. “Of course not. Lilly isn’t ugly at all. Actually, I think she’s gorgeous.”

The room went quiet for a split second, then laughter broke out. Jessa, Lucas, and Sarah couldn’t hold it in.

“Ella, you really think Lilly is a beauty?” Sarah laughed so hard she nearly doubled over.

Jessa looked smug. Ella had walked right into her trap. “See? You’re just as delusional as she is.”

Lucas glanced at Lilly. To him, she was plain, but her eyes caught his attention. They were bright and clear, almost sparkling, and for a moment he thought they might be the prettiest eyes he’d ever seen.

The other students were quick to join in with their own jabs. “Ella, you’re making a joke out of the word ‘beauty.’”

“Yeah, we get that you two are close, but you can’t just make things up.”

Jessa felt a wave of satisfaction as Ella and Lilly became everyone’s target.

Ella didn’t look rattled at all. She stood there, calm and confident, then turned to Lilly with a little wink. “Lilly, I think it’s time you told them the truth. Actually… that birthmark on your face? It’s not real.”

Lilly froze.

“Alright. You said it yourself. Don’t eat your words later.”

Ella took out a makeup wipe she had brought with her. “Lilly, just stand still. Let me take care of this.”

Lilly had no idea what Ella was planning. She tried to catch her eye, a silent plea. “Ella…”

But Ella just smiled, calm and gentle, and stepped closer. She reached out, her hand soft on Lilly’s cheek, and started to wipe away the birthmark. “You’ve had this mark for so many years. It’s time to let it go. Lilly is about to show everyone she’s a true beauty.”

Sarah rolled her eyes, sure this was just a trick. But then her jaw dropped. Right in front of everyone, the birthmark started to fade.

There was a sharp intake of breath from somewhere in the crowd. Maybe it was everyone all at once.

Bit by bit, the birthmark disappeared, revealing skin as smooth and flawless as porcelain. It was like watching someone polish a hidden pearl. In just a few moments, Lilly’s delicate, perfect face was on full display for everyone to see.
