The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 321

Jessa’s dad was Peter, but he’d brought her home from the capital when she was just a baby. She wasn’t his real daughter. Her biological father was someone powerful, the kind of man people whispered about, and Jessa’s background was way more impressive than anyone guessed.

Grandma Jill and Peter kept this secret locked deep inside. There was no way they’d let it slip now.

Grandma Jill looked straight at Ella. “Ella, stop calling me Grandma. You aren’t my granddaughter.”

Lilly was stunned. How could Grandma Jill say something so harsh, right in front of everyone, without a hint of guilt? She was fuming. “You…”

But before she could say more, Ella’s gentle hand stopped her. Ella stepped forward, her eyes steady as she faced Grandma Jill. “So, you’re cutting me off?”

“That’s right,” Grandma Jill replied, not even hesitating.

Ella turned to Rachel. “Mom, is that what you want too?”

Is Ella even really your own?

The question echoed in Rachel’s mind. She’d been watching Grandma Jill, and she knew exactly what the old lady was thinking. A strange little smile flickered at the edge of Rachel’s lips.

When Ella asked her out loud, Rachel quickly moved to stand behind Grandma Jill, looking troubled. “Ella, you’re being impossible. I have to do what your grandma says.”

Both of them. Her grandmother and her mother, turning their backs on her. After her father was gone, they were the only family she had left. One was her grandma. The other was her mom.

Now, they proved again just how wrong she’d been about them.

Ella nodded. “Alright. If that’s what you want, I’m done. From now on, I have nothing to do with the Irvine family.”

Grandma Jill couldn’t be happier. To her, anyone who was useless to the Irvine family should be tossed out like trash. Ella, who’d dropped out of school at sixteen, was nothing but a stain on their reputation.

Rachel and Jessa both smiled.

Just then, a ripple of excitement ran through the crowd. “Mr. Harmon’s here!”

Jessa’s smile was sweet. “Look, David, Ella’s here too.”

David’s eyes moved to Ella.

Cedric jumped in. “Ella, why are you here? Are you here to see my goddess too?”

Ella glanced at the bouquet in Cedric’s hands. “Your goddess?”

Cedric puffed up with pride. “She’s David’s star student. A real genius. I’m giving her these flowers on stage.”

Ella blinked, then suddenly laughed.

Cedric’s expression darkened. “What’s so funny?”

Ella’s bright eyes sparkled with amusement as she looked at him. “She doesn’t even like red roses.”
