The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 324

The summit was officially underway, and the applause in the hall sounded like a wave rolling through the crowd.

The host grinned. “The highlight of today’s summit has to be the first joint appearance of Mr. Harmon and the genius girl. I know everyone’s been waiting for this moment.”

Every head turned toward David and the empty seat next to him. Someone in the audience couldn’t help themselves. “Come on, don’t make us wait. Bring out the genius girl already.”

The host laughed. “Alright then. Let’s welcome the prodigy girl to the stage for the opening speech.”

The moment was finally here.

All the noise disappeared in an instant. Everyone held their breath, eyes glued to the stage.

Sarah and her friends huddled together, barely containing their excitement. “She’s coming. This is it.”

Grandma Jill, Maureen, and Rachel had spent the last few minutes searching for Ella, but she was nowhere to be found.

They gave up looking and focused on the stage. That was the real reason they’d come, anyway. Their curiosity about this mysterious genius was off the charts.

Jessa sat there, jealousy darkening her face. She couldn’t wait to see what this girl looked like. Probably a total disaster, she thought.

Cedric clutched a bouquet of red roses, feeling sweat gather on his palms. The so-called bad boy of Rockford Bay was actually nervous for once.

“David, we are finally get to see her.”

David’s gaze followed the spotlight as a slender, graceful figure stepped out from the shadows.

She wore a white blouse tucked into a black pencil skirt, the simple outfit showing off her youthful curves. Her long black hair was pulled up high in a ponytail. No jewelry, nothing flashy. Still, as she moved from the darkness into the light, she radiated a quiet confidence that drew every eye in the room.

She walked up to the podium. Her clear, bright eyes swept over the crowd. Then, with a gentle smile, she spoke into the microphone. “Hello, everyone. I’m Ella.”

How could it be Ella?

Wasn’t she always napping in class?

But no one was more shocked than Jessa and Rachel. The instant Ella appeared, they both jumped out of their seats.

Jessa and Rachel could barely get the words out. “How is it Ella? That can’t be right. She dropped out at sixteen…”

At that moment, people all around them started whispering in awe. “Wow, the genius girl is finally here. I heard she’s just like Mr. Harmon, skipped a bunch of grades and got two master’s degrees from Harvard by sixteen.”

Jessa sucked in a breath. It was true, Ella had left school at sixteen. But there was a huge difference between dropping out at sixteen and graduating at sixteen.

Turned out, just like David, Ella had earned dual master’s degrees by the time she was sixteen.
