The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 333

Everyone headed to their rooms. Ella set down her suitcase and checked her phone. Right at the top was a friend request from David.

He wanted to add her contact.

They were already divorced. He had Jessa now. And Ella didn’t want to get pulled back into his mess.

She left the request unanswered.

When she stepped out into the hallway, Luke was coming out from the room right across from hers. He grinned at her. “Hey Ella, I’m right across the hall. If you need anything, just knock.”

Ella’s lips curled into a small smile. “Thanks, I will.”

She and Luke joined the group, and together they walked out of the hotel. Just past the entrance, Seacore City stretched out before them, endless and wild.

Luke nudged her, looking up. “Ella, look. It’s snowing.”

She tilted her head back. Huge, soft flakes filled the sky, drifting down all around them. It really was snowing.

The streets were nearly empty. The snowflakes covered everything in white almost instantly.

Farther out, waves crashed against the shore again and again, blue water meeting the snow in a stunning contrast. Half sea, half snow. It was almost too beautiful to believe.

Ella had bundled herself up in a long coat, hugging it tight around her slender frame. Her nose and the corners of her eyes were red from the cold. Still, she stepped forward, facing the wind.

So this was Seacore City’s snow.

It’s breathtaking, just like her dad had always described.

And just as cold as she’d imagined.

“Wow, this place is gorgeous,” someone said.

She turned, smiling. “Luke…”

Her voice faded. It wasn’t Luke.

It was David.

He stood there, wearing a black wool coat over a gray turtleneck. Tall, sharp, and striking, he seemed to belong to the snowstorm itself, as if he’d stepped straight out of a painting.

Ella stared at him, frozen in place. How had he even found her?

He wasn’t supposed to be here. He’d said he wouldn’t come. But he’d changed his plans and shown up, right here, right now.

He’d come to her, at the most perfect, most impossible moment.

David’s gaze lingered on her face, on her red nose and eyes, making her look even younger and more fragile. There was something soft in his eyes as he held the umbrella steady. “Aren’t your hands freezing from playing in the snow?”
