David almost laughed at himself. How could he even start to imagine Ella as that dazzling, unstoppable founder everyone admired?

"Mr. Harmon, can you give me a ride?" Ella had asked earlier, standing outside his car. David couldn’t help but chuckle. She had her own car, so she was obviously just trying to get under Jessa’s skin. And maybe she liked messing with him, too. She was getting bolder by the day.

A moment later, Jessa, Maureen, and Rachel climbed into his car. Jessa took the front seat. Maureen and Rachel squeezed into the back. David tapped the gas, sending the Rolls-Royce Phantom gliding down the street.

Jessa still couldn’t believe Ella drove the same kind of Rolls-Royce as David. What kind of status did she have? How could she possibly afford a car like that?

"David, has Ella been spending your money again?" Jessa asked.

Maureen jumped in. "Mr. Harmon, did you give Ella a huge settlement when you divorced? How could she afford a Rolls-Royce?"

David kept his hands on the wheel, the expensive watch on his wrist glinting in the sunlight. He stared straight ahead, saying nothing. Jessa knew what that meant. He didn’t want to talk about how much he gave Ella when they split up.

David had always been generous. There was no doubt he’d given her a small fortune. Jessa never cared before, but now it just felt unfair. Why should Ella get to drive a car like that? But since David wasn’t talking, the topic fizzled out.

Holding back her frustration, Jessa changed the subject. "David, I heard you moved into the Stellaris Apartments. I want to check it out."

Maureen perked up. "I’ve heard those apartments cost a fortune. Every inch is worth its weight in gold. Mr. Harmon, I want to see your place too."

David didn’t say no, so the Rolls cruised toward the Stellaris Apartments.

Half an hour later, they pulled up outside. Jessa got out and stared up in awe. "Wow... this place is incredible."

Maureen and Rachel were just as stunned by the luxury.

Then, out of nowhere, another Rolls-Royce pulled up and parked. The driver’s door opened and Ella stepped out, looking effortlessly elegant.
