The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 385

Lilly didn’t hesitate. She spun on her heel and walked away.

Sarah opened her mouth as if to say something, but Lilly was already leaving.

Lucas stepped in, cutting Lilly off before she could get far. “Lilly, do you really fall for Jace?”

She nodded, calm and direct. “Yeah, I do.”

Lucas looked at her like she was crazy. “Seriously? You expect me to believe that? There’s no way you could really fall for Jace. Are you just trying to piss me off? I never thought you’d stoop to playing games just to get my attention.”

Lilly let out a sigh, clearly fed up. “Lucas, listen closely. You and I are long over. We were kids back then. You used me, then cheated. Fine, I’ve let it go. Honestly, I never felt anything real for you. And now, I like Jace. That’s it.”

Lucas stared at her, like he couldn’t recognize her at all. It was hard for him to accept that the girl who used to run after him could really let him go.

“Lilly, do you even know the kind of guy Jace is? He has nothing. If you date him, how is he supposed to take care of you? Or are you planning to pay for everything? Is he just going to live off you?”

Lilly frowned. “Lucas, I honestly don’t get where this attitude of yours comes from. The only thing you have over Jace is that you were born luckier. That’s it. I like him, and what I do is none of your business.”

Lucas' face turned red with anger. “Lilly, you—”

She cut him off. “Lucas, move. You’re in my way.”

He refused to budge, just glared at her, his jaw clenched.

Lilly shot a look at Sarah. “Sarah, is this what you brought Lucas here for? So he could make a scene and bother me?”
