The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 392

“It feels like God actually heard my prayers. Four years went by in a flash. Jace is all grown up now. I know my days are numbered. Lilly, how much time do I have left?”

Lilly’s pretty almond-shaped eyes shimmered with tears. “You have about two months left.”

Tiffany gave a soft sigh. “Two months… I don’t think I’ll get to see Victoria take her finals and take her for a trip.”

Lilly squeezed Tiffany’s hand, holding on tight. “Please don’t worry. I’ve already asked Dr. Inge to get you the best medicine. We’ll do everything we can for more time.”

Tiffany turned toward Lilly. “Lilly, I really have to thank you for today. We already owe you so much. My family might not have much, but we don’t like owing people favors. I’m getting discharged today. You don’t need to worry about us anymore.”

“But…”

Lilly knew there was no changing Tiffany’s mind. She was just as stubborn and proud as Jace.

So Lilly just stayed quiet. But she was determined to help behind the scenes. The imported medicine would ease Tiffany’s pain and maybe give her more days.

“Lilly, please don’t tell Jace or Victoria about my condition.”

“Why? I just think…”

“If Jace finds out, he’ll do anything to pay for my treatment. I know my body, Lilly. It won’t change anything. There’s no use wasting money or putting more on Jace’s shoulders. He’s never had it easy, not for one day.”

Tiffany’s tone was firm, so Lilly chose to respect her wishes. “Okay. I’ll keep your secret.”

“Thank you, Lilly. Really.”

Lilly sniffled, her nose turning red. “Auntie, you don’t need to thank me. Jace saved my life. I wouldn’t be here at all if not for him.”

Lilly’s bright, genuine words made Tiffany’s lips curl into a smile.
