The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 407

Aiden got it right away. So that was it. While everyone else was focused on the obvious, his boss had been quietly waiting in the background for this moment.

He thought back to all the times his boss and the real Doctor E had missed each other. No one else had ever managed to slip past his boss’ radar like that. Doctor E was the only one who’d managed it more than once.

It was clear now. This time, his boss wasn’t going to let Doctor E get away.

David hadn’t done anything today, at least not on the surface, but he still knew everything that had happened outside.

Aiden was still puzzled. “Sir, the Irvine family tried Mr. Lynch and Wyatt today. Both of them just told the family to go find Ella and said she’s the only one who can solve this. What do you think that means?”

David’s face was half hidden in the soft light, his eyes unreadable. “What do you think?”

Aiden shook his head. “I have no idea.”

David’s lips curled into a half-smile, almost teasing. “Either Ella knows Doctor E, or Ella is Doctor E.”

Aiden stared at him in shock. “Ms. Irvine is Doctor E? That... that can’t be right.”

David turned toward the window. The city lights sparkled outside, casting reflections on the glass. He let out a quiet laugh, almost bitter. “Yeah, I don’t think it’s possible either. How could the girl who suddenly showed up when I was in a coma, who stayed by my side for three whole years, be Doctor E? I don’t buy it.”

Aiden tried to be logical. “Then maybe Ms. Irvine just knows Doctor E.”

David nodded. “That makes more sense, especially since…”

Aiden waited, but David’s voice turned colder. “Since Wyatt knows Doctor E. He knows everyone. It’s not weird for him to know Doctor E. Now that he and Ella are together, of course she’d know Doctor E too.”

Aiden nodded again. “That’s convincing.”

David glanced at him. “Leave me. Let’s see if Ella can find the fake Doctor E before we do.”

“Yes, sir.”
