Chapter 108
Chapter 108
“God! I love you. I love you so much,” Alex whispered, his voice low, shaky-almost like he was confessing it for the first
time.
Mia looked at him, her heart full. There was something about the way he said it-like he meant every single word down to his bones. Like he’d been waiting to say it again, aching to.
She smiled softly, eyes locked on his. “I love you too. So much.”
The words melted into the quiet air between them. And then, he kissed her again.
It wasn’t rushed or greedy. Their mouths moved together gently, lips brushing, pulling back just a little, then meeting again -closer, deeper, like they couldn’t bear the space between them.
When they finally pulled apart, they didn’t move far. Their foreheads rested against each other, their breaths mingling in the small space that barely existed between them.
“I’m sorry for all the hurt I caused you, baby,” he said. His voice cracked on the last word, like it physically pained him to even think about the way he had hurt her.
Mia nodded, not because it didn’t hurt, but because she’d already let it go. “You’ve already apologized,” she whispered, brushing her fingers against his chest. “It’s okay.”
They kissed again, this time without hesitation.
“Speaking of your day, did something remarkable happen that you wish to tell me about”
Mia stares at him.
“Nothing important enough to bother you with ”
“You sure?”
“Positive”
Alex smiles. Then he kisses her Again.
The kiss deepened, turning into something that curled heat into both their bellies. Alex pulled her closer, his arms wrapped around her waist.
Mia’s fingers threaded into his hair, tugging gently, needing more of him, all of him.
Their bodies moved on instinct.
Alex backed her toward the bedroom, their lips never parting. He pushed the door open without looking, their lips still locked, urgent now.
He barely noticed when his back hit the edge of the bed-only when Mia’s hands found the hem of his shirt and pushed it
He pulled away just enough to let her take it off, tossing it somewhere behind them. Her eyes traced the familiar lines of his
chest.
She reached up, and he met her halfway, kissing her again, his hands running down her sides. His lips moved down her neck, slow, patient, placing soft kisses there, savoring the way her breath hitched.

Her dress slipped off her shoulders, falling at her feet. She stood there, heart racing, vulnerable under his gaze.
Alex didn’t just stare. He stepped forward and wrapped her in his arms, kissing her again…her forehead, her cheeks, her mouth. His hands roamed her back slowly.
Mia lay back on the bed, and Alex followed, trailing kisses along her skin, each one softer.
The world outside disappeared. All that mattered was that the two of them were safe in each other’s arms,
He makes love to her. It was slow, emotional, and raw. It was full of the things they didn’t always say out loud…the apologies, the promises, the longing.
When he looked at her, it was like he was seeing her for the first time.
When she touched him, it was like she was reminding him that he was herd…
Their hands stayed tangled, fingers interlocked, lips brushing between gasps and whispers.
They didn’t need to say much. Everything was already there in the way he kissed her like she was the only thing keeping him breathing, and in the way she held onto him like she never wanted to let go.
Afterward, they lay tangled in each other, skin against skin, hearts beating steady.
“God,” Alex whispered again, brushing his lips over her shoulder. “I love you. I love you so much.”
Mia smiled, her fingers brushing gently against his jaw. “I love you too. So much.”
He leaned in and kissed her again, long and slow.
They pulled back to rest their foreheads together.
Mia stirred, her eyes fluttering open to find Alex already awake, watching her with a soft smile.
“Good morning,” he whispered, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
She smiled back, stretching lazily. “Morning.”
They lay there for a moment, wrapped in the comfort of each other’s presence. But the reality of the day ahead soon crept
“I should probably head back home,” Mia said reluctantly.
Alex’s smile faded slightly. “Are you sure? You could stay a bit longer.”
She shook her head. “I have things to do babe.”
He nodded, understanding. “Alright. Let me drive you.”
The drive was quiet. As they approached her neighborhood, Mia’s anxiety grew. The thought of returning to her toxic household was exhausting.
She wonders how the fight with her mother and that woman ended.
Alex pulled over at their usual spot.
