The Heir And The Servent Started From A Bet novel Chapter 151

Chapter 151

Mia didn’t know when she started walking. Her legs moved on their own like they were trying to carry her away from the words that had just shattered her whole world.

She heard her mom’s voice behind her, calling her nalne in a panic, but it sounded like distant noise. Muffled. Far Nothing felt real.

Her hands were trembling, her chest tight, like something was sitting on it, pressing down on it,hard.

Her mind was spinning so fast, she couldn’t think.

away.

A pair of hands grabbed her shoulders from behind, turning her around. Mia gasped, ready to scream, but stopped when she saw her mom’s face.

“Mia, snap out of it,” her mom said, her voice soft but firm.

Mia blinked at her, confused, her eyes wide and empty. She looked around and realized they were still in the hospital, right in the hallway. People were passing by, pretending not to stare, but she could feel their eyes. She could feel their curiosity.

Her mom gently held her hand and guided her out of the hospital without another word.

Mia’s brain was completely shut down. She couldn’t think. She couldn’t even breathe properly. It felt like someone had unplugged her from the world and left her floating in a nightmare.

Her mom called a cab, and they rode in silence. Mia didn’t even know where they were going until the cab stopped and her mom paid the driver.

She only moved when her mom took her hand and led her to a quiet bench in the park.

Her mom helped her sit down gently, then sat beside her.

Neither of them said anything.

Mia stared ahead like she couldn’t see what was in front of her. Her vision was blurry, from the tears that welled warning.

up without

She couldn’t believe this was happening to her. Not now. Not when she had finally found a little bit of direction in her life. Not when she was getting ready to put the past behind her.

She blinked, and the first tear slipped down her cheek.

Then another.

And then she broke.

A sob tore through her chest. She hunched over slightly, trying to hold it back, but she couldn’t. Her body shook as the tears came fast and hard.

Her mom said nothing. She simply pulled Mia into a hug, wrapping both arms around her and holding her close. She rubbed her back gently in slow circles.

And Mia cried.

She cried like her whole world had ended. Like something she couldn’t even name had been taken from her. She cried for herself. For everything she lost, for everything she thought she could have had. She cried for all the fear, the shame.

Chapter 151

Time passed. Mia didn’t know how long she cried. But at some point, the tears just stopped. Her throat was sore, her face damp, and her body felt heavy.

She sat up slowly and stared into the trees ahead. She didn’t see the trees. She didn’t see the kids playing in the distance. All she could see was the darkness in her mind.

Her mom still didn’t say anything. She just kept rubbing her back gently.

She was grateful that her mom wasn’t yelling. That she wasn’t asking millions of questions.

That she wasn’t telling her she was stupid or irresponsible. She was just there. And even though Mia’s world had fallen apart, at least she wasn’t alone.

She wanted to say thank you, but the words wouldn’t come out.

So she just sat there, and her mom sat with her.

Her fingers twisted the edge of her dress over and over again, knuckles white from how tightly she was gripping the fabric.

“My life is over,” she finally whispered, her voice so soft it barely made a sound, but her mom heard it clearly.

Her head was bowed, her eyes staring at the ground like maybe the dirt could swallow her whole and make all of this disappear. “I worked so hard for years to go to school and now this.”

Another tear slipped down her cheek, and then another. Her voice broke and cracked and she made no effort to hide the pain in them. ̧

Mia couldn’t stop the tears even if she wanted to. They came freely leaving her cheeks soaked and her chest aching.

She was thankful her mom had picked the quiet part of the park. No one else was around except for a few birds chirping and the rustle of leaves above them.

Her mom hummed gently beside her, not trying to stop the tears, not rushing to fill the silence, just sitting there with her. That meant something.

“And who said your life is over?” her mom asked carefully.

Mia turned to her, startled a little by the calm in her voice. Her eyes were red and glassy, her face wet with tears. “Mom…”

“I know,” her mom said, nodding slowly. “And I also know your life is not over. Mia, even I know things are different these days. Your school won’t reject you. Some schools make provision for different accommodations for pregnant and nursing mothers.”

Mia wanted to believe her, but right now, all she saw was the mess. All she saw was how everything she’d planned for her future was now uncertain. Everything was blurry except the fear and the shame.

She shook her head. It didn’t feel that simple. Nothing felt simple.

She wasn’t seeing a way out right now. All she could see was the end of the road. Her dreams, her goals….

Unless…

The thought crept in slowly, She tried to push it away, but it came back louder.

Unless she got rid of it.
