Chapter 22
Chapter 22
Alex’s heart was racing as he sped through the streets, breaking every traffic rule in the book. His mother never texted him like that unless something was seriously wrong. And honestly, Alex already knew what was wrong.
It’s definitely going to be his father, who else…
He rushed into the house, his stomach twisting with anxiety.
He froze as he stared at the scene in front of him. He feels his heart drops
The sound of his father’s belt cracking against his brother’s skin made his blood boil. His mother was crying in the corner, her eyes red and puffy.
Alex charged over to them, grabbing the belt from his father’s hand. His father struggled, but Alex was stronger. With a final kick to Alex’s leg, his father stormed out of the room.
Alex stood there, staring at his brother in horror. His mother rushed over to Julian
“Oh my god, hey, you are ok, you ok.” His mother said, hugging julian. “Let’s take him inside”
Alex carries his brother to his room.
“What happened?” Alex asked, his voice shaking with barely concealed anger.
“I was smoking in the living room,” his brother replied, wincing in pain.

Alex stares at his brother in disbelief. The last time he did that, his father had walked in with a business partner and it didn’t end well when the business partner left.
Their mother rushed to get a bowl of water and a towel to clean up Julian.
Alex’s eyes met his brother’s, and he felt a wave of sadness instead of anger wash over him.
“Why are you still doing that?” Alex asked, his voice cracking with emotion. “You know Dad hates it.”
His brother looked away, shame etched on his face.
Julian only forgets stuff when he’s on B-red. A pink looking drug that destroyed his brother and others. Gotten so many people hook in an addiction that is so hard to break.
But Julian is supposed to have stopped it, he’s not supposed to go anywhere near it after the last time he overdosed on it.
The doctors had put him on treatment to wash his entire system, so his brother had to be taking a safer drug instead of B- Red.
He still has to be taking drugs to stop himself from craving B-red. It destroyed his brother.
He has no idea why a pink looking poisonous drug is called a B-Red.
“Don’t tell me you took that?” He asked not bothering to mention the name.
Julian looks up with wide eyes. ” No of course not”
Alex stares at his brother, everyday he feels like hurting and destroying that bastard.
But he can’t really do much because nobody forced his brother to take those drugs. He bought it with his money.
