Chapter 29
Mia’s eyes pleaded with Alex, her voice laced with desperation. “Please, I want to come.”
Alex’s expression remained firm, his voice unwavering. “I said no.”
Mia’s face fell, her heart sinking with disappointment. “It’s a club,” she said, trying to reason with him.
Alex raised an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with amusement.
“So what’s the problem?”
“Maybe you can go on your own, not with me”
Mia’s face took on a hint of hurt.
Alex paused, his gaze locked on hers. For a moment, Mia thought she saw a flicker of emotion, but it was quickly replaced by his usual bored expression.
Alex didn’t want to go with her? Is that it?
“Is that the problem, you don’t want to go with me?” Mia asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Alex let out a loud sigh, his shoulders sagging in defeat. He picked up a bag, rummaging through it until he found a car key.
“Go to the garage and wait for me. I want to shower… unless you want to watch me shower.”
Mia’s face flushed with heat as she quickly turned around, running out of the room. Alex chuckled, he paused, wiping the
smile off his face.
Why was he just endeared by a Turner?
He needed sleep.
Twenty minutes later, Alex led Mia directly to the VIP section of the club. The music was loud, the lights flashing in time with the beat.
Mia felt small and out of place as she scanned the room, taking in the sight of the wealthy and influential people of Willowcrest.
She spotted Zoe, who was smirking at her. She felt a pang of insecurity. These people were the crème de la crème of society, and Mia was just a Turner, a family known for their shady dealings and scandalous behavior.
Mia felt like she was on display, with everyone staring at her like she was some kind of freak. She heard whispers and snickers, and her face burned with embarrassment.
Alex takes a seat in one boot leaving her to look around for a seat. She spots one and immediately settles in it.
A girl immediately walked over to ask her what she wanted to drink. Mia looked around. She wasn’t sure what to say, she didn’t want to embarrass herself even more.
She glanced at Alex who was being entertained by a girl dancing in front of him. Mia felt her face burn.
She bites her lips.

“Maybe later” she says, the girl nods and walks away
“Ain’t you Ethan Turner’s sister?” one guy asked, his voice dripping with disdain.
Mia froze
She couldn’t find her voice, her mouth dry and her heart was racing. “Your brother sent you to run errands? I need to swallow some pills.”
Mia stared at him, confused, and shook her head. “No, I don’t have it.”
The guy raised an eyebrow, his expression incredulous. “Are you dumb?” ·
Mia felt her cheeks burn with embarrassment, and she looked around frantically for an escape. But Alex was nowhere to be found, too busy staring at his drink to notice her distress.
A guy in a red shirt spoke up next, her voice dripping with malice. “If you’re not here with drugs, come suck my dick then.”
