DRACO.
After I showed Iris around the main floor of the packhouse, I left her so she could eat and rest. I then met up with my Beta and Gamma to discuss things about her.
I set rules without explaining anything.
First, that Iris was mine, and I had no plans of sharing her with anyone.
I had to make it clear. Delta Liam might still be new to his position, as my previous Delta died in a collision in one of the missions I sent him out on, but Roman and I had a history of sharing women. Not always, but it did happen.
Once I bed a woman, mostly paid ones, if my Beta fancied her, he was allowed to have her. They were all for fun and nothing serious.
But Iris, even when I didn’t have a concrete plan on what I wanted to do with her, I had no plans of letting any other man around her.
Roman and Liam didn’t have any complaints about it, so I moved on to the next rule.
Second, they, along with anyone else in the house, were not allowed to talk about Felicity. I was unsure whether Iris had seen the news or if her family had informed her, but I was sure she would eventually ask about her sister and me. And I wanted to be the one to explain to her what happened.
Not as if there was something to tell. I just didn’t want her pity.
After making sure the two had understood my instructions, I sent them out. Then, I began reading the correspondence from the Kingdom of Absalom.
It was an invitation to Kael and Adessa’s wedding. After what I did to them, I didn’t expect I would be invited. But I was glad that I was. Hopefully, Adessa already had an answer to the request I had asked of her.
I called Roman back to my office, and as soon as he arrived, I gave him the letter.
“You need to RSVP. We are both invited.” I told him.
He nodded. “I’ll take care of it.”
“Request a plus one for me.” I added.
“Are you taking Iris with us?”
“Yes.”
“Felicity is there. Do you want them to meet?”
“I think that’s the plan.”
“What exactly is your plan?”
“None of your business.”
“I know, Alpha. But I hope we don’t have more casualties this time.”
“I’m not trying to kill anyone this time.”
He let out a sigh. I was sure he didn’t believe me. Because it was the same thing I said last time when I ordered a manhunt for Adessa, but my team still ended up with many deaths.
I stood up and walked toward the door. “I’m going to bed. Make sure that all border guards are informed not to permit Iris to cross the border without me.”
“Are you serious? You took her out of a life that caged her, only to cage her again?”
“Why the fuck do you care?” I stopped walking and growled at him.
“I apologize, Alpha. I should have kept that to myself.”
