With his clenched fists, Theron entered her room and found her completely curled up on the bed. She was hugging her knees. Her head was buried in between her knees, and her whole demeanour resembled nothing but pain and helplessness, which he knew he had given her.
He didn't know why, but that broken state of hers made him unclench his palms. Yes, he was still enraged but after seeing her like this, the will to make her obey him by any means had started vanishing.
He didn't feel like using his aggressive ways on her after witnessing her looking so vulnerable, and he himself didn't know why.
Theron strode towards her, and feeling his presence, she immediately took her head upward and her glossy eyes collided with his dreadful grey ones.
Eizlina tensed up. Her grip tightened around her knees, seeing him in front of her again.
“Why do you keep on pushing it?” He uttered to her, still angrily, but he himself didn't notice that his tone felt the necessity of being gentle with her this time, which had never happened with him before.
She didn't say anything to him and slowly kept her eyes down. Theron sent her a glance, and then he stepped out of her room.
Eizlina witnessed him returning back within a few minutes, but this time he was not alone. She saw that house staff, Prisila, entering the room behind him, who was holding a tray of food in her hands.
“Place it and leave,” he ordered Prisila, keeping his eyes glued at Eizlina. Prisila placed the food on the bed, in front of Eizlina, and then with a bow, she left the room, leaving them completely alone.
“Now eat,” he said to her, but Eizlina didn't follow his words. She looked away from him.
Theron gritted his teeth. He strode towards the bed again and stood beside her.
“Do not test my patience, Eizlina Witner. I am not here to take your fu#king tantrums,” he warned her. This girl was seriously testing her luck now. She didn't even know how far he could go to twist her to make her listen to his every single word.
But somehow he had chosen to hold his calmness with her.
His choice of words hurt her even more, but she didn't utter a single word to him. She didn't even try to look in his direction and her silence really started irking him, because he had never held this much patience with anyone. He hated such childish behaviours and tantrums, which she had been throwing at him.
“I said…..” he stopped when he noticed her turning around her entire body. His jaw locked. Here he was trying to deal with her tenderly, but seemed like she had taken it as his weakness. And he despised getting called weak by anyone for anything.
In his anger, Theron grasped her arm to spin her around in his direction.
“You….”
“Aah…..” she loudly hissed in pain when he clutched her arm. He looked towards her arm, and there he saw those deep scratches on her skin. They were looking extremely fresh and somehow painful too.
How did she get them? Did his mother do this to her?
