To Love a Shadow To Be the Sun novel Chapter 350

As his wife at the time, Elara had been completely in the dark.

When Brian took the stage, he shot Elara a meaningful glance before addressing the crowd with practiced ease. “Good afternoon, everyone. Until now, Cryo-Titan Energy Group has focused its growth overseas. Today, by partnering with Ignition Dynamics, we’re taking a landmark step—bringing our strategy home. Director Jules, our story is far from over.”

Elara’s face drained of color. Her hands trembled at her sides.

Summer, standing nearby, clenched her jaw in frustration.

They’d worked so hard to keep Brian’s influence out of the company, only to find themselves ambushed here.

Just then, Quincy Shelton emerged from the crowd.

No one had expected Zane’s chief of staff to show up. Instinctively, people stepped aside, creating a path as Quincy strode up to the stage.

He handed Elara a document.

“Mr. Lawrence has immense faith in your battery technology. Welcome to the Prometheus Energy Consortium.”

Elara glanced down. The words ‘Consortium Membership Agreement’ stared back at her.

The terms were generous—especially the promise of “unlimited R&D funding.” The deal was as impressive as it was enviable, making the other executives in the room green with envy.

Before Elara could respond, Summer snatched the agreement from her hands. “Sign it. Right now. I’ve got the company seal with me.”

Quincy smiled and nodded in encouragement.

Elara instinctively scanned the room for Zane, but he was nowhere in sight.

He was probably still in Capital City, unable to get away, so he’d sent Quincy in his place.

Brian understood Zane’s move immediately.

The real contest between the two men was just beginning.

Elara looked at him as if he’d just told the world’s most ridiculous joke, contempt flickering in her eyes.

“You knew the Vincent family was rotting from the inside out. You knew the odds of turning things around were slim, so you made sure you had an exit plan—one that kept you safe no matter how things turned out. But me? You stood by and watched me struggle in the mud, never lifting a finger to help. Now you have the nerve to talk about love?”

Brian didn’t flinch at her accusation. He just pressed on, stubborn as ever. “Whether you choose me or Zane, you’ll need to learn how to be the perfect society wife. If you keep putting your feelings first, you won’t survive. I was trying to teach you how to make it in this world—but all you saw was my cruelty.”

Elara let out a chilly laugh. “And if I follow your rules, I’ll end up just like you? Alone, with nothing but your self-righteous theories for company? Keep your survival lessons, Brian. I have no use for them.”

With that, she turned on her heel and strode away.

Brian called after her, his voice low and measured. “One day, you’ll see I’m the only one who truly cares about you.”

Elara set her jaw, walking so quickly it was clear she couldn’t stand another moment in his presence.

She was just passing a closed door when a large hand suddenly grabbed her wrist and yanked her into the nearby room.
