Too Late She Already Married Mr. Right (Sophia) novel Chapter 130

Chapter 130

Sophia didn’t even spare a glance at the milk. She just dumped the glass straight into the trash.

Lucas’s efforts were completely wasted, and his face darkened with anger. He jabbed a finger at Sophia and shouted, Don’t test me.”

Sophia snatched up the cleaver and pointed it at Lucas, her eyes blazing. Come at me if you’ve got the guts.”

Lucas shrank back at the sight of the gleaming blade. He slumped onto the couch and muttered, Fine. How about some apples?

Sophia felt like laughing at how wimpy Lucas looked, but she kept her face cold. Anything you’ve touched makes me want to vomit.”

He wanted to snap back, but seeing the cleaver in Sophia’s hand, he swallowed his anger.

Fine, whatever. There are way more women out there dying for me to please them,he muttered.

Sophia just ignored him.

Back then, Sophia might have gotten jealous at what he said, but now she just saw it as him trying to play tough.

Sophia thought, See? As long as I don’t give a damn, nobody can hurt me!

The crash of dishes kept coming from the kitchen, putting a deep frown on Lucas’s face.

Sophie-Lucas hesitated, calling her name.

Sophia cut him off, her voice cold. Don’t call me that. It’s gross.

She remembered once bringing Lucas some documents when his old friend brought up why he called her Sophie.

Lucas once told her that the reason he called her Sophie was simply because it made her happyand when she was happy, his life got easier. Nothing more than that.

Back then, Sophia had been heartbroken for days.

She thought, Why was I so pathetic back then? I was so starved for love that I sought it from a man who only saw me as a substitute.’

If not for being saved by him seven years ago, she would have lost interest in Lucas.

Lucas noticed Sophia wasn’t falling for his tricks anymore. The clear disgust in her eyes hit him hard.

He thought, People really do change, huh? Just a month ago, her eyes were filled with love for me, yet now, there’s nothing for me in her eyes.

Fine, Iwon’t call you that if it bothers you. What about babe?Lucas pressed, trying to sound playful.

Sophia shot him a sarcastic sneer. Do you have to be so gross? Is making me cringe your hobby now?

Lucas lost his cool, frustration leaking into his voice. Sophia, what do you want? You used to be way easier to please

Well, back then I must’ve been dumb, but now I’m not,Sophia retorted.

Lucas was fuming.

He just found Sophia so unreasonable.

Sophia kept ignoring Lucas, only heading into the dining room after Emily was done with the cooking.

There were several dishes and a soup, but none of them looked or smelled appetizingjust a mess.

Sophia frowned, poking at the burnt stuff on her plate with her fork.

What is this supposed to be? Are you trying to poison me?Sophia glared at Emily, her hand itching to reach for the cleaver again.

Emily shrank back like a scared kitten, her voice shaky. I told you I really can’t cook. You just wouldn’t listen.”

Sophia cocked an eyebrow. Alright, then eat this yourself. When you finally figure out how to cook, maybe I’ll let you go.

She thought, She must have done this on purpose just to make me gross.

Emily glared at Sophia, but with Sophia’s hand resting on the cleaver, she could only fume in silence, too afraid to say anything.

Sophia, I don’t believe that you’d really kill me,Emily said, throwing her a defiant glare.

Sophia said, her tone unruffled, Wanna bet? Let’s see if I dare to take you down with me.”

Emily shrank back, terrified, but spat out through clenched teeth, Fine, I’ll eat it.

She grabbed her fork, poked at a piece of charred mush, and shoved it into her mouth.

The sheer saltiness almost made her gag.
