Helen’s outburst made Billy’s head spin. He wanted to tell her to stop, but feared it would just make her angrier.

He sat there, silent as a stone.

Helen was sobbing uncontrollably, feeling that her thirty years of devotion had been wasted.

The news of that illegitimate daughter really hit her hard.

“I won’t agree to this. If you want to bring back your illegitimate girl, then divorce me—we split everything fifty–fifty,” Helen said, her anger barely contained.

Billy finally lost his patience. “If you’re thinking about divorce, you’ll leave with nothing. Not a single penny from the Westwood family.”

Helen was so shocked that she forgot to cry, just staring at Billy in disbelief. “Did you really mean that?”

“Do you know the mess the company is in right now? All thanks to that wonderful son of yours,” Billy barked.

“Now the company’s going down is my fault, huh?” Helen shot back, her breath coming in angry gasps. “You take credit when Lucas does a great job, but you blame me when he fails, huh? You’re so unreasonable.”

Billy’s anger was boiling over. “How long are you going to keep this up?”

“I will never let that little bitch join this family. If she does, then I’m leaving,” Helen said, her voice shaking with fury. She refused to let the mistress’s child waltz in and fight Lucas for the Westwood family inheritance.

Everything in the Westwood family was meant for Lucas–not a soul could lay a hand on it.

Billy stared her down, tension crackling in the air between them. After a long silence, he finally turned on his heel and stormed out.

Helen collapsed onto the couch, bawling her eyes out. She had been seeing news about older couples running

into marriage crises, but she had never really taken it to heart.

Now, it had struck her.

She had become a joke among the ladies, her husband unfaithful, her son ungrateful–her reputation in

shreds.

She thought. No way. I will never let Linda back into the Westwood residence.’

Helen wiped away her tears, forcing herself to snap out of it. She grabbed her phone and called someone. “I want to see Linda.”

Since she couldn’t make any headway with Billy, she decided she would switch her focus to Linda.

She didn’t believe that little brat would dare return to the Westwood residence.

Helen set up a meeting with Linda at a café–one of her own properties.

Before she left, she made sure to lay her plans and rig the scene just the way she wanted.

If Linda were smart enough to accept her terms, she would let her leave the café safe and sound.

However, if she thought she could claw her way back into the Westwood family, Helen would ruin her reputation completely.

Helen waited in the café’s private room anxiously, scanning for any sign of her guest. Finally, the click of high heels sounded outside.

She signaled discreetly to the manager, and just at that moment, the door swung open.

Linda appeared in the doorway, with Billy standing right behind her.

“Didn’t I tell you to come alone? Why’d you drag my husband along–are you scared I’ll kill you or something?” Helen said with a sneer.
