Too Late She Already Married Mr. Right (Sophia) novel Chapter 207

Chapter 207

He was dressed in a sharp black suit, exuding a calm, commanding presence. The moment he walked in, this cozy little café seemed to glow with a whole new elegance.

Richard spotted Sophia right away and strode straight over to her.

Noticing that flicker of unhappiness flash across her face, he slightly frowned.

What’s wrong?Richard asked softly.

Sophia shook her head. Nothing. But you made this special triparen’t you busy?

I can always get back to work,Richard quipped. But the chance to cheer you up? That doesn’t come around every day.

Sophia couldn’t help but smile at his teasing, even though she’d been feeling so low just a moment ago.

She shook her head with a smile. Mr. Sterling, has anyone ever mentioned your underrated talent for making people feel valued?

He never blamed her or tried to tell her what to do.

No matter what she was doing, he would always quietly stay by her side.

Whenever she needed him, all she had to do was turn aroundhe was always right there, just a step behind her.

But seriously, what did I do to deserve someone this good?Sophia thought, feeling a surge of gratitude mixed with disbelief.

Richard fixed his gaze on her, eyes deep and piercingthe kind that usually carried a cold, calculating edge befitting someone used to calling the shots.

But the moment those eyes fell on Sophia, all the coldness faded away, replaced by nothing but genuine admiration and gentle affection.

Looks like someone finally has,he replied with a soft smile.

Annabelle, sitting off to the side, totally caught the way Richard was looking at Sophiahis eyes were so soft and devoted, it was like he was about to melt.

She gave a little cough and set her coffee cup down.

Well, I’ve got something to deal with. Since Uncle Richard’s here, I’ll just get going,Annabelle announced, grabbing her bag and making a quick dash for the door.

Sophia called after her, Hey!but Annabelle was already out of sight. All Sophia could do was sigh in frustration.

Richard flashed a quick smile. Come on, I want to take you somewhere.

Sophia had no clue where he was planning to go, but when she glanced at her comfy flats, she felt way less

nervous.

As long as I’m not stuck in heels, anywhere’s fine by me,Sophia thought with a little private relief.

Richard noticed where she was looking, then eyed her flat shoes too.

He grinned, amused. Don’t worry, it’s not a hiking trip today.”

They caught each other’s eye and just burst out laughing.

The car was parked right outside, and as soon as they headed out, the driver rushed over and swung open the back door for them.

Once they climbed in, the driver slammed the door shut, jumped into the front seat, and sped off into the city.

The sky was turning dusky, and the streetlights were starting to glow.

An hour later, their car pulled up outside Universal Studios. Most of the visitors had already cleared out by then.

They hopped out and walked up to the entrance, got their tickets checked, and strolled inside.

While most people who’d spent the whole day there were heading out, Sophia and Richard were just getting started.

As they stepped through the arched gateway, it was like they’d fallen straight into a rainbowcolored portal to another world.

The air was thick with the sweet scent of popcorn and the faint rubbery smell of dinosaur toys.

In the distance, the spires of Hogwarts Castle seemed to shimmer in the heat, while nearby, a Minion trash can kept repeating Bananain a robotic voice. Right then, the line between reality and fantasy just melted

away.

Sophia took it all in, her eyes wide with wonder, and for a moment, all her worries just melted away.

Mr. Sterling, let’s check out the Harry Potter area!Sophia chirped, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

Back then, Andrew had given her a set of foreignlanguage novels to help her get a better feel for the language.

Ever since, she’d always been super curious about that whole magic world.

Richard noticed the tension melting from her faceshe didn’t look nearly as weighed down as she had earlier. A faint smile tugged at his lips.

Alright,he replied.

Just then, a swarm of kids came dashing out of the Minion zone. Instinctively, Richard worried they’d knock into Sophiaso he reached out and, without thinking, pulled her close.

Taken totally by surprise, Sophia was yanked backand landed smack in his arms.
