Too Late She Already Married Mr. Right (Sophia) novel Chapter 239

Still pissed, Lucas punched the mattress a few times, trying to vent.

That's when his phone suddenly started ringing.

He picked up, and it was one of his pals. The man said, "Lucas, there's a business dinner tonight. You coming or what?"

Lucas wiped the sweat off his forehead and said, voice edged with impatience, "Not interested. I'm not going.”

“Hey, word is Sophia's gonna be there, and that Mr. Nelson from Nelson Group too," his friend added.

As soon as Lucas heard Sophia was going, he wanted to go even less.

"Not going. Hanging up." Lucas grumbled and ended the call.

He tossed his phone onto the nightstand, yanked off the covers, and stalked off to the bathroom.

The hot water poured down as he grabbed some body wash and started scrubbing.

Seeing a couple of hickeys on his chest, images of last night with Nina came rushing back.

His Adam's apple moved, and his mouth suddenly felt parched.

He thought, ‘That little temptress has me wrapped around her finger. | can't stop thinking about her—when is she ever going to call me back?’

Once he finished showering, Lucas came out, and his phone buzzed again. This time, it was Billy, insisting he needed to attend the party tonight.

"Micah wants to get his hands on Sophia's formula for skin regeneration. You need to watch her closely,’ Billy urged.

The formula for skin regeneration was Yadel Group's one chance to bounce back.

If Sophia sold the formula to Micah, there'd be nothing left for Yadel Group.

Lucas looked seriously annoyed. He grumbled, "Yeah, yeah, | get it. I'll go, okay?"

"Lucas, whether the Westwood family climbs back up or crashes and burns all depends on this formula for skin regeneration. | don't care what it takes—just get it from Sophia," Billy snapped.

Lucas felt a pounding headache coming on.

Like Sophia would just hand over the formula—dream on.

Still, he knew the Westwood family was desperate for it, so he could only grit his teeth and agree.

Lucas changed into a custom-tailored tuxedo, tied his tie, ran his fingers through his hair to give it a quick style, and headed out the door.
