How could Amanda not be furious after everything ended up so easily in Jonah and Leila’s laps? And Jonah wouldn’t have pulled off his comeback without Travis. It wasn’t just Jonah trying to get close to Travis. Leila wanted in too.

Of course she’d try to ruin it for them. That’s why, when it came to the whole incident with Travis being drugged, Amanda’s third suspect was Peyton.

Amanda shot Peyton a sweet, knowing smile. “What can I do? Travis doesn’t want me to have kids with him. I guess he’d rather it be Leila.”

Just as Amanda expected, Peyton’s face twisted with annoyance.

Honestly, Peyton hated the idea of Leila and Travis together even more than Amanda did. Sure, Amanda had been Travis' girlfriend for years, but everyone could see Travis treated Leila differently.

Peyton let out a dramatic sigh and grabbed Amanda’s hand, her sympathy obviously fake. “Amanda, you’re his girlfriend, his fiancée. You should stand up for yourself. Leila is just a nobody trying to steal your spot.”

Amanda let out a bitter laugh. “We called off the engagement. I’m not his fiancée anymore. I’ve been holding on for so long, and I’m just… done. I’m giving up.”

“You can’t give up!” Peyton blurted, panicking. “Travis doesn’t even like Leila. He’s only acting this way because he feels guilty about Jonah’s death. He made you his girlfriend, and that means he chose you. If you walk away now, you’re handing everything to Leila.”

Amanda just stared at her, completely defeated. “It’s pointless. Travis and I were a mistake from the start. You remember what happened. After I slept with him, everyone said I drugged him—even Travis thinks that. He’s always believed I’m manipulative, that I’d do anything just to get him. Why would he marry me? The engagement was just for show. I can’t explain what happened back then, and honestly, I don’t want to anymore. I’m exhausted.”

She pulled her hand away from Peyton and walked off, looking totally crushed.
