Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 353

Nora helped Payne get dressed and led him downstairs.

At the breakfast table, Daniel and Eleanor were already eating.

As soon as Eleanor saw Nora come down, she stood up quickly and greeted her with careful politeness. “Nora.”

Nora barely glanced her way. She took Payne’s hand, clearly intending to leave.

“Aurora.” Daniel stepped over and placed a firm hand on her shoulder. “At least have some breakfast first.”

Eleanor chimed in, her tone sweet but her eyes gleaming with pride. “He only asked me to stay the night because he was worried about my safety. Don’t take it the wrong way.”

Her words sounded humble, but the truth was obvious—she was showing off, flaunting Daniel’s special treatment of her as his little sister.

Nora hadn’t even tasted breakfast, yet she already felt full.

“I’m not hungry.” She brushed Daniel’s hand away, took Payne, and left the house without another word.

Daniel’s expression darkened.

Eleanor sighed softly. “She still doesn’t like me.”

Checking his watch, Daniel asked, “I’ll drive you home, okay?”

Eleanor looked at him with pleading eyes. “I don’t want to go back. I can’t stand seeing Hans right now. Can I just stay here a few more days?”

“Then go to your mother’s place.” Daniel picked up his car keys and headed for the door.

Mrs. Quinn had divorced Jordan, and after Daniel’s stern warnings, Jordan had left Fairvale for good. Now the Quinn family’s estate was quiet, with only Mrs. Quinn living there.

With just her and Eleanor in that big house, there was more than enough space.

Eleanor had no choice but to agree.

When they reached the Quinn estate, Daniel dropped her off at the gate and didn’t bother to go inside.

Mrs. Quinn wrapped her daughter in a hug, concern clouding her face. “Eleanor, why are you back?”

Tears slid silently down Eleanor’s cheeks. “Mom, he doesn’t want me anymore.”

She could feel it—Daniel was keeping his distance.

“And Hans?” Mrs. Quinn asked gently.

Eleanor shook her head. “He doesn’t care about me.”

Mrs. Quinn’s gaze hardened, calculation flickering in her eyes. “So what? As long as you remain Mrs. Cooper, no one can take that away from you.” She squeezed Eleanor’s hand. “What you need to do is have a baby as soon as possible.”

Una’s tone was flat. “Is there something you need?”

David didn’t seem to mind her coldness. His voice was gentle, even warm. “Una, come home.”

Home? Una froze. Where was ‘home’ supposed to be?

Did he mean the Cooper estate?

But she wasn’t a Cooper, not really.

David continued, “Una, you’re the child they adopted. Now that they’re gone, it’s my responsibility to look after you. Come home with me. From now on, you’ll be raised as my own daughter, just like Monica. You’ll be a Cooper heiress.”

Monica beamed. “Una, you’ll be my sister now! Don’t worry—I’ll look after you.”

Una didn’t trust David’s sudden change of heart. She could guess this wasn’t out of kindness.

She refused without hesitation. “I haven’t been a part of the Cooper family for three years.”

“Una—”

“Please leave. Both of you.”
