Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 354

Nora immediately stood up. “Out.”

David’s brow furrowed. In his mind, Una was still that timid girl from years ago. But after three years apart, she’d changed—sharper now, with an edge he hadn’t expected.

“Una, I need to speak with you.” David switched tactics, motioning for Monica and Nora to leave.

Naturally, Nora refused.

But Una insisted, and Nora finally left.

Once the room was empty, David turned to Una. “Don’t you want to know how your parents really died?”

Una sat up straight, her left hand clutching the blanket tightly. “What are you talking about?”

She’d always believed her parents had died saving Hans’s parents. Afterward, Hans’s family had taken her in and treated her as their own daughter.

David walked over to the window, his voice low. “Your parents died because they discovered a dangerous secret—someone silenced them.”

Una’s jaw tightened. “What secret? Whose secret?”

David shook his head, calculation flickering in his eyes. “Una, information like mine doesn’t come for free.”

Una leaned back against the headboard. “I don’t believe you.”

She wasn’t about to trust anything without proof.

“Suit yourself. But if you walk away now, you’ll never know the real truth behind your parents’ deaths. I have evidence, of course. If you change your mind, you know where to find me.”

With that, David left the hospital room.

Una’s face had gone pale.

She wanted to dismiss everything he’d said, but doubts kept swirling in her mind. Part of her wanted to dig deeper, to uncover the truth; another part warned her not to trust a word David said. He wasn’t exactly a good person.

“What did he say to you?” Nora came back in, concern etched on her face when she saw Una’s expression.

Una snapped out of her thoughts and dropped her gaze. “He just wants me to go back to the Cooper family, that’s all.”

“Suddenly wanting you back after all this time? That’s suspicious.”
