Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 355

Nora spotted Hans as she pulled into the parking lot.

He was waiting for her.

His long fingers rested on the car door, a cigarette balanced between them—unlit, just idly held as if he’d forgotten it was there.

When he saw Nora, he was the first to get out.

“How is she?” he asked.

Nora looked at him and fell silent for a moment.

Hans had always taken pride in his appearance, but now he looked visibly disheveled, unshaven, his clothes carelessly thrown on.

“Are you okay?” she asked, genuine concern in her voice.

Hans ran a hand through his hair. “I’m fine.”

“She’s doing well. She’s decided to leave the country soon,” Nora told him, passing along Una’s decision.

Hans didn’t answer for several seconds.

Finally, he murmured, “That’s good.”

It was time for Una to move on.

“Hans,” Nora started, wanting to ask what was wrong.

He looked miserable, every inch of him weighed down.

But Hans just leaned partway against the car, waving her off.

Nora let the question go.

They stood in silence for a while. The chill in the parking lot was seeping in, so Nora decided it was time to leave.

Suddenly, Hans spoke again. “Nora, have you ever thought about going abroad for your pregnancy?”

Nora frowned. “Abroad?”

Hans straightened, regaining a bit of his old charm. “It’d do you good to get away for a while. You’re always orbiting around Dan—aren’t you bored?”

“And don’t you love working with perfume? I could get you a spot in Catherine’s classes—you could see how perfumers do things overseas. Learn something new.”

He was completely serious.

Nora shook her head. “I’m apprenticed to Mr. Frost now. There’s no need for me to go chasing after Catherine.”

After all, Catherine was one of Mr. Frost’s former students. Why go the long way around?

“There are other perfumers too. You could visit them, learn something different,” Hans persisted.

Nora shook her head again. “No, I’m staying. I finally got my production line up and running, and we’re about to launch. I’ve got a mountain of work to do.”

“I’ll give you half a million. Just drop all that work,” Hans said, an edge of desperation in his voice.

By the time her checkup was done, it was already four in the afternoon.

The baby was developing well. You’d never guess, looking at Nora now, just how much she’d suffered during her first pregnancy.

Daniel stayed with her through the entire appointment and then arranged for the driver to take her home.

He had to leave on a business trip.

But Nora had driven herself, so she waved off the driver.

She swung by her studio to pick up Payne, then headed back to North Manor.

As soon as she pulled up to the house, she saw Eleanor pacing back and forth at the front door.

The moment Eleanor heard the car, she hurried over, practically tripping over herself in her eagerness to help Nora out of the car.

Nora ignored her.

Awkwardly, Eleanor drew her hand back.

As soon as Nora got out, Eleanor stuck close to her side. “Nora.”

Nora’s voice was cold and distant. “Why are you still here?”

Eleanor bit her lip, looking pitiful. “I came to beg for your forgiveness.”
