Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 357

In Donna’s eyes, Nora was selfish and self-serving.

She didn’t care about the Chambers family at all—how could she possibly make room in her heart for Eleanor?

“Nora, you’ve gone too far this time,” Donna snapped, her face tight with disapproval. “With Dan out of town, you take the opportunity to torment Eleanor? Aren’t you afraid of how angry he’ll be when he gets back?”

Nora’s tone was icy. “I told her she could leave. She chose to stay out in the rain. How is that my fault?”

It wasn’t Nora who insisted Eleanor stand outside all night.

“You—you’re completely out of control,” Donna said, her voice trembling with hurt. “Eleanor has already admitted her mistake and apologized to you. Why won’t you forgive her?”

“Are you really trying to drive her out of the Chambers family?”

“She’s related to Daniel by blood—you’re the outsider here,” Donna pressed, her tone growing sharper with every word.

It was as if, in Donna’s mind, Nora was nothing but a curse on their family.

“Eleanor can be a bit temperamental, but she’s never actually hurt you. Nora, how could you be so cruel, leaving her locked out all night in the cold?”

Nora had had enough. She stood, fixing Mrs. Quinn with a cold stare. “If I remember correctly, Daniel sent her home yesterday. If she can’t stay in her own house and insists on coming somewhere she’s not welcome, I have to wonder what her real intentions are.”

Tears spilled down Mrs. Quinn’s cheeks. “She just wanted to apologize.”

“Apologize? Or maybe she wanted to hurt the baby I’m carrying?” Nora shot back, not hesitating to bring up her pregnancy.

Right now, that child was more important than anything.

“She’s not that kind of person.”

“Oh? Then why is she so desperate to be here?”

Mrs. Quinn had no answer for that.

It was true—Eleanor had insisted on coming.

Donna sighed. “Nora, a happy family is the foundation of everything. Can’t you see? If you keep making a scene like this, people will just laugh at us.”

Nora tilted her head, her eyes cool. “You just called me an outsider, didn’t you? So whether your family is happy or not, what’s that got to do with me?”

Donna opened her mouth, then closed it, speechless.

She’d never met anyone as sharp-tongued as Nora.
