Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 370

The blade pressed harder against Nora’s throat.

A thin line of blood welled up.

“Mr. Chambers, time’s running out.”

On the river, a cargo boat drew closer.

David’s eyes gleamed—escape was within reach.

Nora sighed softly. She wasn’t playing the saint or trying to save Eleanor; she simply knew she was David’s last bargaining chip. He wouldn’t let her go.

So she spoke up directly. “You choose—”

A scream sliced through the tension. “Ah… Una!”

Everyone’s attention snapped to the front.

Nora jerked her head up, eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at Una.

Una gripped a knife—its blade buried deep in Hans’s chest.

No one moved.

No one had expected Una to lash out, let alone kill.

“Hans!” Eleanor shrieked, lunging toward him.

Hans clutched his chest, blood soaking through his shirt as he crumpled to one knee. His eyes blazed red with pain and betrayal. “Una… you…”

He reached for her, but Una stepped back, avoiding his grasp.

Head bowed, her gaze was cold and merciless.

She dropped the bloodied knife at her feet.

David’s satisfaction was palpable.

He’d been counting on Hans’s feelings for Una all along—because he’d already struck a deal with her. If Una killed Hans, David would let Nora go.

Una had agreed.

Moments ago, when David ordered his men to press the knife harder against Nora’s throat, he was forcing Una to act.

Now that she had, his plan was complete.

And judging by the force and precision of the blow, Una hadn’t held back.

Hans was as good as dead.

David felt a surge of triumph. So what if he was being forced out of Fairvale? Hans was losing everything—his life.

The river thundered by, damp air clinging to the bank.

Kneeling on the ground, Nora’s voice shook. “Una…”

How did it come to this?

Eleanor.

That name burned in her mind. Gathering every ounce of strength, Nora shoved Daniel away and staggered toward Eleanor.

She grabbed her by the hair, eyes blazing. “Eleanor, you killed Una.”

“Murderer.”

She dragged Eleanor toward the riverbank. “Give her back! Give Una back!”

Eleanor screamed, clutching her scalp. “She killed Hans!”

“Aurora!” Daniel rushed over, pulling Nora into his arms. “Calm down.”

Eleanor cowered, shouting with all her might, “She’s the real murderer! She deserves it!”

“If she’s guilty, the law will judge her—not you!” Daniel snapped. “What gives you the right—”

Nora’s chest constricted, her breath coming in sharp, shallow gasps.

At last, she collapsed in Daniel’s embrace.
