Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 374

He pulled out another folder. “I have another document here. It concerns the young master.”

A sense of dread crept over Eleanor.

Hans’s arrangements?

How could he have made any plans? He couldn’t have known something like this would happen.

Mr. West seemed to anticipate her confusion, offering an explanation. “The young master wrote these instructions three months ago and had them notarized. To be precise, it’s actually a will.”

But Hans was still fighting for his life. Talking about a will now felt almost cruel.

He opened the folder. “Hans’s instructions were that, in the event something happened to him, all his assets would go to Ms. Cooper.”

“As for you, Mr. Hans left you a separate sum—half a million—and the house you shared as a married couple.”

“No way.” Eleanor’s eyes widened in disbelief, and she snatched the document from his hands.

Nora. Again.

Hans had left everything to Nora.

“I’m his wife. How could he leave everything to her?” Eleanor’s voice trembled with shock and outrage.

Half a million and a house were nothing compared to the vast wealth of the Cooper family.

She couldn’t accept it.

Jealousy and bitterness blazed openly on her face as she turned to Nora, her voice sharp. “What are you to him, really?”

Why did Nora get everything?

Mr. West produced yet another document. “According to this DNA test, Ms. Cooper is the young master’s long-lost sister.”

“What?” Eleanor’s voice was a whisper, but her disbelief rang loud in the silent room.

She suddenly felt as though everything she’d ever had was about to be snatched away by Nora once again.

“I don’t believe it. If Nora was really his sister, why would he keep it a secret?” Eleanor’s voice rose, shrill and accusing.

The consequences would have been far worse.

But Eleanor was inconsolable. “He worried about his sister’s safety, but he had no problem dragging me into this. He didn’t even want to save me in the end.”

Hans was ruthless—utterly heartless.

“In your eyes, Nora is all that matters. You both love her, you both protect her.” Her voice broke as she laughed bitterly. “One of you is my husband, the other my brother, but neither of you care about me.”

“Eleanor.” Daniel’s tone hardened. “Right now, what you should be doing is waiting for Hans to wake up—not fighting over money.”

“Hans isn’t dead yet.” He reminded her firmly.

Eleanor snapped back to reality. That’s right. Hans was still alive. There was still hope.

She covered her face and broke down in sobs. “I know. I just wish it were me lying in that room instead of him.”

Her voice became a desperate prayer. “Hans, please. You have to make it. Don’t leave me behind.”
